Good Morning all. It's a really warm 11 degrees with an even warmer wind chill of zero. Praise God all the precipitation was gone before it got that cold here. The sun is shining bright here today. My prayers are still with those that did get all that ice and snow though. I know from experience that is not a fun situation to be in. Hmmm ... lovin' that coffee today.

Praise be to God, I am happy to hear that all is well with you Brother. My prayers are with those who are still without electricity and have been heavily hit by the ice storm as well.

Things did thaw out some today in Oklahoma, but the weatherman says there is another winter storm on the way for the coming weekend. It looks like we'll get out to stock up and go again. YUK! The schools are still closed in our area tomorrow. Road crews have most of the main roads in fairly good shape, but the residential areas are still an ice-skating rink.
We will get a Coleman camper's heater if we can find one, but I suspect things like this are sold out. We were very fortunate and blessed that our electricity here was only out for short periods of time. Many others near us were without. Everyone - please keep praying that GOD watches over all of us.
Love In Christ, Tom
Ephesians 5:1-2 NASB Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

If she is in New Orleans then she is probably going to be stuck there for awhile. Texas is getting hit pretty hard tonight still.
It is pretty nice here other than the cold. 3 degrees for a low tonight. My sister lives just 30 minutes north of me and they got hit pretty heard with both ice and snow. She isn't so sure that her fruit trees will recover from the ice damage. Most of the limbs are gone. Her and her husband have been stuck at home the last three days but she is well stocked on groceries and other emergency supplies and should be able to get out tomorrow if need be.

Hello David_James, My wife drinks hot tea every day, but I only drink it when I have a cold. My mother gave us hot tea with lemon, honey, and vinegar for colds when we were growing up, so I associate hot tea with medicine. I really don't know if it worked or not, but my mother thought it did. The same was true for cod liver oil and caster oil. I would drink 2 or 3 cups of the tea to avoid the oils.

I like a good warm cup of green tea once in awhile. Not hot or cold just warm. If it's too hot it becomes strong and bitter. White tea is good too.
I remember the cod liver oil ... that is a big yuck. It made me sicker just because of the taste. Our alternative was ginger ail.
