I was told to avoid coffee because of my heart condition and associated medications. The caffiene supposedly negates the cholesterol medications. I tried that for awhile but it didn't seem to help the test results. Since I went back on to drinking coffee my test results have improved so I am staying with it. I just make sure that I don't drink coffee for about an hour before taking the meds and take them with water. Then I go to bed and don't drink any coffee again until I get up. It seems to work fine for me anyway.

Brother Roger, that's very interesting. I take the cholesterol medicine also, but I guess that every patient is different. OR, maybe the doctors are different. Recent findings indicate that coffee is good for many conditions, much like dark chocolate but without the fat and calories. My doctor does holler about putting sugar in it, but I don't use sugar anyway. You wouldn't believe how many things have sugar added to them, and the only sugar that's close to being good for you is the natural sugar in fruit. Most doctors, including mine, tells me to eat all the plain, fresh fruit I want to. The key word is "plain" which obviously rules out whipped cream, sugar, syrups, and all kinds of things that ruin the benefit of fresh fruit. Back to coffee - I can't put whipped cream in that either.

I do use sugar myself. If I don't then I have a shortage of sugar in my system. Hypoglycemic. The sugar in fruit doesn't seem to be enough for me.

Good Morning! I actually slept during the night this time, and I haven't even gotten my coffee yet, so I changed shifts for some reason.

I've been getting plenty of sleep brother, thank you for the prayers and the concern though. I can still use them.

Good morning. Ya know the strangest thing happened to me last night............. I woke up at 130 (like normal ) and as I dozed off again around 2, I was very rudely awakened but what felt like the whole bed shaking, kind of like when you drive over those rumble strips on the edge of the highway. I thought I was dreaming or something until I realized that I really was awake and could tell that the bed was normal but I could still feel that vibration in my chest, arms and hands. Oh, did I mention the utter terror I felt in my heart? I have never felt so scared, not to mention confused but the vibration, and all I could do was pray.......after about 3 or 4 min, the vibration started to diminish and the fear started to subside, I prayed harder for the peace of Christ and protection from the terror, and of course it stopped. All I could do was pray for my sleeping wife and children that they be protected. weird huh?
