Hello Sister Kris, We've been missing you and wondering where you have been. If you stick around, we'll give you a donut to go with your coffee. So, how's things going for you? Things are going good. I just got back from Mackinac Island yesterday. We had fun. I went horse back riding. I'm not sore anymore from that. We also went to castle rock. My dad likes to go there. It reminds him of his childhood . We also fed deer. There was a deer ranch and we saw white deer which I thought was cool. Hey, I made a garden this year. It is actually growing because I remember to water it . Before I had it behind the garage and would forget, so yeah, everything grows better with a little water . I'm getting tons of tomatoes and summer squash. I'm also growing watermelon, pumpkin, strawberries, cucumber and green pepper (not doing well with green pepper). I'm proud of my little garden .

Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth thy Lord Jesus and believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Jesus is our first, last and only hope. Without Him we would be nothing.

I don't have room for a garden but I would have piscked some at the grocery store if it weren't so hot today. It hit 97 today here with heat index at least 5 degrees high. The humidity was up to 71%.

I wouldn't mind this heat so much if the humidity weren't so high. When it gets high along with the temp it gets hard to breath. My main A/C unit went out today ( all I have are window A/C's ). I had to pull it out of the window, clean and oil it. I sure do appreciate the boy next door for helping me with it. I couldn't pick that thing up on my own.

Mine is over my 5 pound restriction. Some of the kids (church) come over, and put it up for me each year.

The temperature here in Lawton, Oklahoma has been between 109 and 111 the last few days. I don't know what the humidity and other factors are, but I do know it's HOT!
I remember several years here where the temperature hit 120 and more. Lots of air conditioners broke during those years. I don't think that they make any air conditioners designed to keep working under sustained temperatures like that. The human body doesn't like it either, and you have to drink lots of water to keep going. I'm retired, so I just stay inside, even at the 110.
Everyone, please take care of yourselves with plenty of plain water, covering for your head, and whatever the doctor may tell those of us who are ill.
Love In Christ, Tom
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NASB You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

I'm staying inside and not venturing out in this heat and humidity. We have three window A/C units installed and one spare in the storage room. It stays nice and comfortable here even at higher temps.

I've never been able to drink that much not even when I was in the desert in Saudi and Bahrain.

28 years in restaurants will do that to you. Specially when you spend, most of the time in the kitchen for 8-14 hours a day. The average temp, durning summer is 120-135 degrees. Durning winter it averages 90-110. So I drank alot of water.

Brothers and Sisters, I've lately been told that anyone ill and taking medications should ask their doctor about anything BUT plain water. This would include things as simple as Gatorade and other drinks that are supposed to be good for you. BUT, many can interact with various prescribed medicines, so the doctor should be consulted. My doctor told me that I could drink all of the coffee that I wanted to as long as I didn't use real sugar. YEAH! YES, I have a cup of coffee right now.
