It wasn't till my Neurologist explained to me the reason for it. Go figure, I even paid for swimming lessons for my kids and me, they learned, and I was left in the 3ft section.
Don't feel bad. I spent 20+ yrs in the Navy and I still can't swim either.

And to make matters worse I had to save myself, cause my shower lifeguard was asleep on the couch.

Sorry to hear that sister, swimming is alot of fun. I know I miss swimming.
Least you don't have to worry about the kids, in the water.
