Now if only those misbehavin' posters would act right..... *whistles innocently*
Sincereheart,
Sister, right now I would say that we have a core group of really sweet Christians who love JESUS as the focus of their lives. We have some little squabbles from time to time, but the vast majority of what happens here is simply fellowship between Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
Sister, it really makes me happy that you are back. You make that core group of sweet Christians stronger. The only thing that would make things better is more sweet Christians joining in with us who Love JESUS as the focus for their lives. The key to good fellowship is simple and certainly not a secret:
Loving JESUS as a common denominator for all of us. Sister, I was just thinking about JESUS, how much I love him, and how so many other things are really not very important. I'm also thinking about the reality that all of the real Christians here are already united in the
Eternal CHURCH which is the BODY OF CHRIST! I've been thinking about this beautiful reality more and more over the last several years, probably because it seems to shut out the problems of the world and put my mind in a positive perspective with JESUS as the focus for everything. These are all thoughts of JOY in JESUS.
I know that all Christians have problems of various types that place burdens on our hearts. Some of the problems involve our own health, the health of family members, and a huge variety of other human problems. I was just thinking about the writing of the Apostle Paul on this subject. The suffering of this current time are not worthy to compare to the Glory that will be in Eternity with JESUS. I know that these problems are real and they effect us in our daily lives,
BUT, we have JESUS and all things are different for us with just a few thoughts and prayers. I fail to concentrate on the really important things far too often, and I would say that we all do. Just think about this beautiful old hymn for a few minutes, and everyone will understand exactly what I'm thinking about.
Jesus Paid It All
I hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”
Refrain
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
For nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim,
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calvary’s Lamb.
Refrain
And now complete in Him
My robe His righteousness,
Close sheltered ’neath His side,
I am divinely blest.
Refrain
Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone.
Refrain
When from my dying bed
My ransomed soul shall rise,
crying “Jesus paid it all,”
Shall rend the vaulted skies.
Refrain
And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
I’ll lay my trophies down
All down at Jesus’ feet.
Refrain
Love In Christ,
Tom
Hebrews 11:1-3 NASB Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
