I'm currently reading The Fall of Lucifer by Wendy Alec. It's about the creation of man and the rebellion of Satan. It's a little different, but definitely worth reading. There will eventually be four other books in the series. Check it out...

I agree Cpmpatriot, now an even better book would be titled The Total and Final Destruction of Lucifer. Now that would be a great book for even his cronies to read and take a lesson from.

I can't figure out why "Lucifer" doesn't end with an "el" like the other angelic names. If "luce" is "light", couldn't he have been called Luciel, "Light of God?"   Huh

Lucifer in the Hebrew language is hêylêl  (hay-lale') and it means "morning star". He definitely is not and never has been the light of God.

So "Lucifer" wasn't his good name, from before he fell?

Yes it was. Having been the "morning star" does not make satan "the light of God". The light of God is also known as the glory of God.

1Jo 1:5  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Rev 21:10  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Rev 21:11  Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Rev 22:5  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
