ACLU Files Another Lawsuit Against Ten Commandments
October 07, 2005 09:16 AM EST

By Sher Zieve – On Thursday the Oklahoma ACLU filed suit against Haskell County, Oklahoma, charging that a Ten Commandments monument must be removed from its courthouse grounds. Haskell County resident Jim Green complained about the display, which prompted the ACLU suit.

The new ACLU suit again claims that Ten Commandments’ monuments violate constitutional protections against government endorsement of religion. Erected last November, the monument was funded by local residents and churches.

Haskell County commissioners had no immediate comments, in regards to the ACLU suit.
