Hi, I really was'nt going to post on this site, I came to see if there were anybody out there. Oh Well never have been able to keep my mouth shut. lol I just read the post childhood disorders and it made me smile. (Short History) 43, 4 birth children, 4 stepchildren, 4 foster children, and about 4003 children who at one time or the other in the last 20 years have used my home as a shelter, Self titled (although I have heard one or more of my children use this out of my sight) meanest mother in the WHOLE WORLD, lol, absolutly am 101% in love with my GOD and he loves me right back.  That said nobody and I mean nobody has ever been as good at messing stuff up as me I am the Queen of mess up.  So when I started noticing what I considered acting out in all these kids that have come and gone in my life I was questioning myself so it became a project, this is what I know.  We need mothers (sorry ladies) and I mean on guard, pitbull dog mommas.  I have  22 and 23 year old daughters who have turned into great adults, it was not an easy task i do not like the mall, skating rink, or friday night ball games, but guess what they did! Not a week goes by that one of my kids (birth or otherwise) does'nt stop by to check in. Now for my cross and question. I won I made it I am done, WRONG i am now the proud mother of twin 8 year old boys and i mean boys.  I had my tubes tied 15 years before their birth the Doctor that delivered them said they were ordained by GOD to be here as I have no tubes., blah, blah, blah, I have been given a revelation by GOD lately because of things in our area (Meth, drop out rate, teenage pregnancy, etc.) that its up to me.  He gave me two strong, passionate, warriors, but it won't be like training monkeys, they are strong willed and so am i, so here it is.  How do you prepare them for the battle at hand, tempered with all the good things you want your children to be (sweet, even tempered, etc) I am really at a loss because nothing seems to work, I have even put the burden on them latley telling them to pray about a game they saw that I did'nt think they should have they followed what GOD told them, but what would I have done if they had'nt. Bought the game? need advice on boys, great step-dad but he is a truck driver and not a home alot. thanks for your time

You might want to start
Temptation

Temptation

PERSECUTIONS, TEMPTATIONS, CHASTISEMENTS

The Nature of Sin and Temptation

This should give you a good start.

Resting in the hands, of Jesus.

Hi diannerb,

Welcome to the forum.

It sounds to me like you have had a very rewarding life. It is difficult to raise two boys without having a Dad around very much. My heart and prayers go with you. It sounds as though you have done a pretty good job with your boys just as you did with your girls.

It does my heart good to see a real mother. Someone that is concerned about all children is indeed just that.

The main advice that I can give you is to keep God as the center of your family life. Teach your children the ways of the Lord. From the sounds of it you have been doing just that so I would say just keep it up.

Sometimes a parent must be tough but they also need to be tender and loving at the right times.

Stand your ground on what you think is right for your boys to have and what they shouldn't have.
