I am gprayer for my husband and I.We had to leave the home we were in,and we're looking for something that we can afford on a fixed income.
He is disabled and 60 years old.I am 56.The apartments here are higher than what we can afford. We are living in a motel.until we can find something.
Please pray that God will lead us in the right direction.

Thank You very much.

Hello Bettyboop,

I will also be praying that God supplies all of your needs. I don't know where you are living, but please do some checking about government subsidized housing in your area. You might be surprised about what is available. Look in the phone book under government for "HUD" and make some calls. There may also be other agencies that can help you get affordable housing.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 1:1-3 NASB  How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

blackeyedpeas we live in Terrell,Texas. All the low income housing, like Hud and others have a waiting list at least a year long. There aren't very many places like that here.We are looking at other areas, besides Dallas. We don't really want to go back there.Their low income housing list is two years long.

Betty,

I don't know the rules for the housing in that area but here in this area if you are homeless (living in a motel is considered homeless) then you go to the top of the list. I suggest checking some organizations such as Salvation Army. If they don't have the facilities themselves then they at least know who does and you can usually get verification through them that you are indeed homeless.
