I do nothing, because I can do nothing, if I did do anything it would be wrong, so I do nothing, and I wait, and I wait, and I wait, for deaths call, I am not, and I do not wish to be, I do nothing, I wait, I wait, I wait.....

A little depressed today, Michael?

No, I am fine, I rejoice exceedingly for I have turned my back, I have forever renounced Jesus, as he has forever renounced me, I am no longer a Christian, why bother, everything I say, everything I do, is wrong, and will be wrong, I live to die, as we all do, BUT I long for that day, more than you all, so much more than any of you could ever imagine, and I rejocie to see that day, and that hour

Depressed? Not in the least, not in the least, I have finally found my God ordained purpose, that for which God presdestined my life, that for which I was elected to be.....

If you have renounced Jesus then you have renounced God which means that you are lost and wandering. That is not God's purpose for any of us. I do believe that you are quite confused and any happiness that you feel is of a false pretense.

Welcome Back James Michael,

Jesus is the only one who will never leave or forsake you. Men fail, but JESUS never fails.

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

Love in Christ,
Tom

Just out of curiousity;why did you give up on God?

So sad to give up so close to the finish line, for I do believe that Jesus is coming back very soon and our race is almost over.  Please go back and fall on your knees and ask Jesus to forgive you and once again come and live in your heart.  It is not to late to once again began your walk with Christ.

Leahcim, there is nothing GOD won't do for you if you ask Him, when things aren't going right with us we have to get down on our knees and ask GOD where we missed it. GOD never missed it, and He loves us so much, don't give up! Cry

GET DOWN ON MY KNEES ask GOD for forgiveness, ask Him to take my hand and pull me out of the mire. Then praise and worship Him. EVERYONE CAN DO THAT RIGHT. NO ONE EVER FAILS BY ASKING GOD TO HELP THEM.

Thanks to leahcim for posting. If God really has turned his back on you, then indeed you are going through a difficult time, and I would like to thank you for posting about it. You've been very brave - and I'd also like to thank God for giving you that bravery. (irony intended but please don't read too much into it)

I think I know what you're going through, because I've been there too. May I quote from Ecclesiastes 1:2-11, The Message?

Smoke, nothing but smoke. [That's what the Quester says.]
There's nothing to anything -- it's all smoke.

What's there to show for a lifetime of work,
a lifetime of working your fingers to the bone?

One generation goes its way, the next one arrives,
but nothing changes -- it's business as usual for old planet earth.

The sun comes up and the sun goes down,
then does it again, and again -- the same old round.

The wind blows south, the wind blows north.
Around and around and around it blows,
blowing this way, then that -- the whirling, erratic wind.

All the rivers flow into the sea,
but the sea never fills up.

The rivers keep flowing to the same old place,
and then start all over and do it again.

Everything's boring, utterly boring --
no one can find any meaning in it.

Boring to the eye,
boring to the ear.

What was will be again,
what happened will happen again.

There's nothing new on this earth.
Year after year it's the same old thing.

Does someone call out, "Hey,
this is new"?
Don't get excited -- it's the same old story.

Nobody remembers what happened yesterday.
And the things that will happen tomorrow?

Nobody'll remember them either.
Don't count on being remembered.

I hope you're intrigued by this - and if you are, I suggest you look it up and read on. I won't spoil the ending for you by telling you what happens next. Smiley The Bible, and in particular the book of Ecclesiastes, has got some fascinating - and beautifully written - stuff for people who feel like everything is pointless.

And if you're feeling really brave, perhaps you can talk about what you've read with your local minister too. Hope that helps - and I hope you keep on posting here.

Hmm, just checked the dates and noticed that leahcim hasn't posted since August - despite a couple of well meaning replies in October. Oh well - like Ecclesiastes says ... still, I hope we won't be too late for the next one.
