I appreciate BOTH of my techie brothers very much.  Hey, PR do you remember the "Telex" machine?  That's what I started on around 1977; and naturally, the minute I had a grasp on DOS, Windows came out  . . .

I'm far from being a techie though, so either one of you can definitely help me out!

Yes, I remember the Telex machines. Before any of that was the old teletype and I worked on those also.

I joined the Navy just as morse code was being fazed out. I may be old but Pony Express and carrier pigeons is pushing it a bit too far.

Dreamweaver, thanks for trying to help me remember, but I think the last time I used my funny looking carrier pigeons was for the Roman Legions. Of course, I was extremely young at the time.

I was just reflecting on what a magnificent sight I must have been with my sword drawn, in full armor, and riding into battle on my Shetland pony.  Grin

BEPs, in case you haven't noticed, your carrier pidgeons look like bats, and the last I heard bats are blind, how would they know where to find you?   Grin Grin
