My adorable kitten,Tic Tac,does his business everywhere but
the litter box. What's a surefire way to train him?

I usually put the kitten in a box with sides tall enough that they can't jump out but small enough that there is just enough room for a litter box a place for food and water and a place to sleep. Cats usually won't use their bedding or eating place so it leaves just the litter box. After a week of that you can take the litter box to its normal place. Then take the kitten out setting it in the litter box so it will know where it is.

This has always worked for me.

I have a cat that uses the litter box. So,I can't take
the box from him and give it to the kitten. Maybe I
need 2 litter boxes.

There are some cats that do not like using the same litter box. Usually this happens if one is older than the other and is not the parent of the younger. A mother cat frequently will teach its young to use the litter box.

I'll buy Tic Tac his own litter box tomorrow and see if he
takes to it.
