Here's a poem i sat and wrote in 20 minutes during the last half of church. I've already apologized and thanked God, for He gave me the words. enjoy

Grace

Standing on this high
Watching the Son draw nigh,
I ask the Light why?
Why was it time for me to die?

He guided the answers before me.
Some of bondage, some set free.
I see the times I should have shared,
To them to show I really cared.

Yet I hesitated to share the news
About the strife they would lose
By surrendering their lives
To the source of everlasting life.

Then I saw the souls that were free
Because I chose to stand than flee.
I fall to my knees in awe of the Why.
And I lift my hands to the sky.

And I proclaim on my face,
My Lord, I love thy grace.
Thank you for the mercy you’ve shown,
To shine through me so you are known.

You showed me that through my actions
I shared thy gracious compassion.
Through your strength and your power,
I prevailed even when I wanted to cower.

Thy grace, Lord, illuminates the darkest sea
And enables us all to flee
The darkness of our sins and transgressions,
And lights the path to reconciliation.

As I lay prostrate at the answers before me,
He took mine hand and guided me to see
The ones who prayed in those late hours,
And the ones who deserved the Almighty’s power.

There I met the hosts of heaven who cleared
A seat for me at the Table, where the fear within me began to swell.
But there I beheld a multitude of hosts, and voices with such beauty
The souls the Lord, through me, saved from hell.
