I know its not much, but I just wanted to say thanks to all our Vets, Soldiers, and fallen Hero's out there.

We owe a debt of gratitude to you guys for the freedoms and liberties we enjoy in our country.   Thank You, we Love You!

Thank you, 2T. That means a whole lot to me and says an abundance.

I add my thanks to them and their families as well.

The American Hero

This helmet strapped onto Americas' best,
These I.D. tags rested upon a proud and strong chest.
This rifle with bayonet signals a time for prayer,
Paying tribute to a comrade who is no longer there.
These combat boots marched at a quick pace,
To a final and last battle now rest in place.
This is no Jane Doe or the average Joe,
This is the American Hero from head to toe.

Great pic, T2, where'd you find it?

You too, Rog, interesting how the bar on the truck is right behind the rifle, almost like a cross.

The rifle, with helmet, shoes and dog tags is known as the Field Cross. If you notice how the flag was tucked behind the bar so as to purposefully make it look more like a cross.

I got the picture from one of our Iraq Troops.

Hey, can I send a picture too?  This one is of my son Rob, and my youngest grandchild, Christopher.

Christopher was born on the day that my son first got to Iraq.  After coming home from his one year service, my son and grandson are now getting to know each other.  I particularly like this picture because it was taken just a week ago while dad and son were preparing to throw rocks in the stream.

My heart stretches halfway around the globe to each military person.  If I can send letters or cookies to someone abroad, I would cherish the opportunity.

To the troops, thank you for being the incredible men and women of honor that you are!

Apparently, I don't know how to copy a picture from my files into the CU post.  Sorry Cry

I'll head on over to the technical thread and see what I can learn...

You need to set up an account on a site like Photobucket.com. Once the account is setup and an image is posted there then all you have to do is copy the url of the image and paste it into the img function here.

hey! I think i did the photobucket thing!  But the picture of my kids picking up rocks somehow got deleted so the one posted here is of my son's homecoming.

His wife, three kids and father-in-law are welcoming him!  I am a very thankful mom!  My prayers remain faithful for all who still serve abroad.

SelahJoy,

You forgot to use the img function. I hope you don't mind, I modified your post to add the img function so that your image would show.
