Hello everyone!I'm new so I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Toni.I am a 34 year old married mother of three.I am disabled.I enjoy various paper crafts, listening to music, reading, cooking and baking.I also love just sitting quietly in the presence of God and listening to natures music.I am recently studying meteorology for no good reason besides the fact that it interests me.I'm a stay at home mom due to the fact that I'm disabled, but I see it as I am right where He wants me.I've been a Christian since February 18th, 2001...which ironically is the same day my favorite Nascar driver was killed.Does He know when we'll need Him or what? And my goal in life is to just make it from one day to the next...watching my children grow.

Hey welcome aboard Toni, it's great to have a woman who enjoys Nascar!!!  Cheesy

I am also disabled. I am married with four children and a foster daughter - three dogs, a guinnea pig, two cats and some fish!  Tongue

Toni,

What area of meteorology are you studying?   Just meteo in general, or are you focusing in on one aspect of it?

My main interest is severe weather forecasting and tornado genesis.   I'm no expert on it, but I do find it highly fascinating.   A few members here know that I spend a lot of time out on the great Plains this time of year storm chasing.   Its something that me and my wife enjoy quite a bit.

Oh, and before the man floating in coffee pipes up...just ignore him  Cheesy  (just kidding Kevin...lol)

You should get him to take you to a local Skywarn class.   There are usually a bunch of those going on this time of year.   Its free, and it might spure some interest.    Lots of good info too.    The talks are specialized on storm scale features moreso than synoptic weather, but its a good place to start.

It seems there were already a few classes in your state.

Granted, it may not be tornado alley, but storm do happen just about everywhere.   For location, no doubt the plains is the place to be though.

Sorry to hear this.   Is He not saved?

Go to any web site, or use your own photos from your computer. Right click onto the photo you want and click on "properties" - a box will open. Hilite the  URL (Address).
Next, paste that URL on your post hilite it. Now go to the toolbar (above the smilies) and click "insert hyperlink" (the globe icon)

Now hit "post"
Your done!  Cheesy
