Musiclover,

Sister, take a look at the menu under webmasters on the left side of each forum page. Christians Unite has all kinds of free services for Christian Web Sites, including counters, guest books, automated posting of devotions, Bible verses, thoughts for the day, and all kinds of other things. One of the most popular is the automated posting of the daily Spurgeon Devotion.

If you are simply wanting a Christians Unite graphic and a link to Christians Unite, that is very easy. You can see examples of various types of links under the webmaster menu. There are requirements for the free services. Having at least a portion of the web site devoted to Christ is the main one and/or a statement of faith. There are no requirements for simply putting a link that someone can click and get to Christians Unite.

Or, you might just want a plain text link without a graphic. Just for curiosity, take a look at dynamic content which represents new material that Christians Unite posts on your site daily or multiple times per day. Everything Christians Unite does is first class, and thousands of Christian web sites are served around the world. You don't need permission from anyone to put a link on your site to Christians Unite.

The below is a plain text HTML entry for a link to Christians Unite:

<a href="http://forums.christiansunite.com/">Christians Unite Discussion Forums</a>

You would just place the above where you want to place the link, and you would be done. If you wish to use a graphic link, you will need to choose a graphic you want and write the link command differently. As an example, you could copy and paste the graphic at the top of the page "Christians Unite Discussion Forums", place the graphic in one of your folders you must know the correct path for, and give the link command. The graphic I'm talking about already has a name of logo.jpg. If you use one of the examples below, copy and paste it completely where you want it.

Let's say that your images are in a folder called images:

<a href="http://forums.christiansunite.com/"><img src="images/logo.jpg" border="0" width="200" height="85" alt="Christians Unite Discussion Forums"></a>

By the way, the width and height for the logo are correct. If you wanted to center the plain text link or the graphics link, you would simply put all of the sample information above dead center of:

<center></center>

If you need more help, send me a PM.

Love In Christ,
Tom

KristiAnn,

Sister, I think that you are completely correct.  Cheesy

I don't do HTML very often these days, but I am thinking about making some major changes to my web site. I'm wanting to put up some Bible messages and sermons.

I'm not real comfortable with HTML, so I use an editor with simple buttons you can click to make the commands for you. Years ago, I did work without an editor, but I was horribly slow and made a lot of mistakes.

Dear Tom,

Thankie.. For the last two years I have been writing a lot of HTML *tee hee* at Kristi Ann's Haven.

This ~> target="_blank" causes to leave the main page intact and open a newer page.

This is also good for Centering many in a row on the same line

<div align="center"></div>

The <p align="center"></p> puts extra space above and below without using a ~> <br> or for bigger break <br></br>

Pictures are fun, they don't just show up without HTML though *tee hee*

<img src="http OF YOUPICTURE" border="0" title="YOUR SAYING for the Picture">

Putting tables around pictures is fun too!

<center><table><tr><td><img src="http OF YOUPICTURE" border="0" title="YOUR SAYING for the Picture"></td></tr></table></center>

I know a lot more *tee hee* Wink

Simple HTML can be learned at ~> "Lissa Explains it All!"

KristiAnn,

Sister, I've been spoiled with that HTML editor. I was pretty good at HTML at one time, but I stopped trying to learn it when it started changing so frequently. My "what you see is what you get" $35 HTML editor takes most of the work out of it, and all I have to do is make sure that I get all of the latest program updates.

I'm almost sure there are some freeware HTML editors that are just about as good as the one I have. I don't think that I ever want to do web sites again without an editor. I think that I would rather learn Greek.   Cheesy

Love In Christ,
Tom
