That is true. The caveman show does make fun of evolution. That is why I like it.

How Old Tree Rings And Ancient Wood Are Helping Rewrite History

Cornell archaeologists are rewriting history with the help of tree rings from 900-year-old trees, wood found on ancient buildings and through analysis of the isotopes (especially radiocarbon dating) and chemistry they can find in that wood.

By collecting thousands of years worth of overlapping tree rings, with each ring representing a tree's annual growth, the researchers have created long-term records in the eastern Mediterranean that allow them to precisely date such seminal milestones in history as when Hammurabi, "the law-giver," reigned, when the massive Santorini volcanic eruption occurred, and the timelines of the Bronze and Iron ages, as well as many more recent events.

Sturt Manning, director of the Malcolm and Carolyn Wiener Laboratory for Aegean and Near Eastern Dendrochronology at Cornell, summarized his work for Cornell council members and trustees, Oct. 19 in Statler Hall. Dendrochronology is the science of comparing growth patterns in tree trunks to date past events or climate changes. Cornell's dendrochronology laboratory now holds more than 40,000 tree-ring samples, including many from the eastern Mediterranean.

Trees of the same species from the same geographical area have fairly similar ring patterns, Manning said, because they are exposed to similar climatic conditions. By starting with living trees and then finding samples from slightly older trees used in buildings and still older trees from more ancient sites, archaeologists have been able to overlap tree-ring data to create chronologies that date back thousands of years.

Radiocarbon dating, statistical analysis, researchers' trained eyes and prior knowledge of events in the area are then used to match new samples with tree-ring chronologies from the same area. Manning and his staff in the lab have used such techniques to verify, for example, the likely origins of a Circle of Rembrandt painting (referring to an elite group of students that worked directly with the artist). He showed that the oak board of the painting came from the same tree as the board of another painting, whose origins are known and which hangs in a museum in Krakow, Poland.

Similarly, scholars have debated for more than 150 years about the dates of the ancient civilizations of the Babylonians, the Assyrians and the lifetime of Hammurabi, the Babylonian king who helped create the oldest set of written laws. Mainstream scholars have proposed dates for his reign that differ by 300 years.

"You can't do history if you have a difference of 300 years or so," said Manning. "That would place George Washington as a contemporary of some person living right now. ... You'd get entirely the wrong historical reconstruction if you didn't have the dates sorted out."

Using ancient beams from palaces of known contemporaries of Hammurabi, Cornell researchers combined radiocarbon dating techniques with dendrochronological evidence to date Hammurabi to around 1792 B.C., Manning said.

Similar techniques used on wood buried beneath volcanic ash allowed Manning and others to date the Santorini volcanic eruption, one of the largest in the last 10,000 years, as most likely occurring in the late 17th century B.C., 100 years earlier than previously believed. The discovery may rewrite the late Bronze Age history of Mediterranean civilizations, he said.

As we can see in this last article these scientists are still holding on to theories of dendrochronology and carbon dating that have been proven false. Both of these dating methods are faulty at best and are the ones used to attempt to prove an old earth in excess of 6,000 years. Dendrochronology, a dating method of using the supposed growth of a tree based on one tree ring per year has been proven wrong. Even in an imperfect world that we have today trees have sometimes been found to have two or three rings of growth in one year. In a perfect world as we had prior to Noah's flood it would be possible to have many tree ring growths in one year.

Darwin studied finches to bring about his theory of evolution..so..since none of us have feathers or resemble birds..a monkey seems to be a close second..but humans teach monkeys sign language and none of us had to be taught so really it comes down to unbelief...to justify what man wants to make him important in man's eyes not God's..being a god themselves not knowing it brings death...Our nation is full of unbelief..there was a time when this nation proudly boasted of being under God..never was there thought of taking God's word out of anything..now this nation wants to be over God..to justify self as this world worships self..It is not just about evolution but about the lost and to pray God will use each one of us to bring someone to the knowledge of Jesus Christ..no matter the cost..

Brothers and Sisters,

I know this is nothing to brag about, but most of the world has just about finished their turn away from GOD. This part of the world is a matter of mockery and laughter because of having to tolerate a still large population of Christians. Many portions of Europe has just about completed the work that has begun here - driving GOD out. What they call "religion" in many parts of the world is little more than a feel good social club where anything goes. Christians are talked about as if we are illiterate relics just dumb enough to still believe in GOD. If they call that dumb, I'll be happy to be dumb.

The theory of evolution is supposed to be for the high class intellectuals, and Christians are just too dumb to understand. After all, they are in desperate need of having someone to look down on. They are also desperate to preserve the theory of evolution, regardless that there's nothing left of it but nonsense. It would be a bitter pill to admit that the theory of evolution was never anything except a fraud and garbage, so they won't do it. In the meantime, they are looking more foolish by the minute. It's inconvenient that some of the truth is beginning to come out, including elaborate cover-ups of fraud and withholding recent discoveries. I'm real happy to be one of those illiterate Christians who believe that GOD Created everything, exactly according to HIS ACCOUNT in Genesis.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Isaiah 9:2-7 NASB
The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.

Scientists: Undersea landslide set off giant mudflow
225 billion metric tons of sediment traveled 932 miles in matter of hours, days

An enormous underwater landslide 60,000 years ago produced the longest flow of sand and mud yet found on Earth.

The landslide off the coast of north-west Africa dumped 225 billion metric tonnes of sediment into the ocean in a matter of hours or days.

The flow travelled 1,500km (932 miles) - the distance from London to Rome - before depositing its sediment.

The work, by a British team of researchers has been published in the academic journal Nature.

The massive surge put down the same amount of sediment that comes out of all the world's rivers combined over a period of 10 years.

After blocks from the original landslide disintegrated, the sand and mud travelled hundreds of kilometres suspended in the water, without depositing any sediment on the sea floor that it had passed over.

Dr Talling likened this to avalanches in which the snow travels downslope in huge clouds.

A tiny drop in the sea-floor gradient (from 0.05 degrees to 0.01 degrees) eventually forced the flow to settle into a cohesive mass.

In places, the flow was over 150km (93 miles) wide, spread across the open sea floor.

"If you look at the distance it travelled and how much material it moved, it was at least as big as many volcanic eruptions," co-author Peter Talling from the University of Bristol, UK, told BBC News.

The discovery came from an analysis of shallow sediment cores drilled from the sea bed during a cruise in the research ship Charles Darwin off the north-west African coast.

Dr Talling worked on the project with colleagues from the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, UK, including Russell Wynn and Doug Masson.

The study also involved researchers from the universities of Aberdeen, UK, and Bremen in Germany.

The landslide which triggered this flow was not itself the biggest known. Several that occurred off the coast of Hawaii involved the movement of more material.

The Storegga slip off the coast of Norway was also larger.

But the scale of the flow that resulted from the African slip amazed the scientists.

Understanding the cause and evolution of these infrequent undersea flows could help exploration of the sea floor.

It could, for example, assist researchers to assess hazards posed to installations for recovering subsurface oil and gas reserves - which can be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Again we have secular scientists ignoring the very evidence that such a catastrophe actually supports a young earth and Noah's flood. Using already proven false methods of placing a time frame of 60,000 years to an incident that is more likely to have occurred approximately 4,200 years ago in order to attempt to disregard Noah's flood, they actually have again proved that it is possible for major changes such as these to have occurred in a very short time span. It is the same with other places on earth such as the Grand Canyon and the many volcanic sites. Just recently a much smaller incident than Noah's Flood occurred that created a good sized canyon in just a few days. Mt St Helens eruption in the 80's has also proved a short time span is needed to make major changes, creating coal and other such things in a very short time span instead of millions of years.

The Creator (Ecclesiastes 12) - Page 1 of 3
From Voice In The Wilderness

"Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, so that the evil  days do not come, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no  pleasure in them" (vs1)

This verse, and the two closing verses, are likely among -the- MOST  IMPORTANT WORDS one finds in all of Scripture while we are on this  earth. And they are at the same time the MOST DESPISED by the condemned  (Jn3:18 ) unregenerate world.

The Bible begins with the words, "In the beginning God created the  heavens and the earth" (Gen1:1)

When a person picks up a new book to read, they typically open to the  first chapter of the first page and start reading the first words of the  author. The Bible, being the sort of book it is, one often turns to  various books within the book in 'reference' fashion. But if the Bible  is picked up, unknown to the reader, and they do as they do with most  books, they are at Genesis 1:1, and read the words just quoted. When  people read books, their decision to either 'continue' reading, or to  'put the book down' is often governed by their impression and reaction  to the opening words of the book.

What do most people do with the Bible? They put the Book down! Why?  Because they rebel at the opening premise: That -God- is the Creator.

But, -that- God -is- the Creator is God's opening salvo, and also the  final warning before ultimate judgment of this present world system.  Just before Christ comes to wrench the kingdoms away from satan, the  message will be proclaimed "...to every nation, tribe, tongue, and  people...

"Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come;  also, do homage to Him WHO MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH" (Rev14:6-7)

What is the world's alternative to "God created"? Evolution. And where  is it being taught? In the schools, in the "days of [their] youth". What  happens when young people are raised on atheism? When they get old they  remain in rebellion against God.

Christian parents, if for no other reason, this is reason enough for you  to home school your kids. Train them up in the ways of "your Creator"  when they are young. You know the exhortation...

"Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will  not depart from it." (Pr22:6)

This training needs to happen before death. vs2-6 are poetic expressions  of man's death and mourning process. But ultimately, after this physical  bodily life is done...

"the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall  return to God who gave it" (vs7)

And then, as we observed in prior lessons, where is the person? All  earthly activity and decisions of "vanity" are finished. The person is  no more on earth. Thus, whatever decisions regarding eternity a person  makes, must be done -now-, while still alive on earth...

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation"  (2Co6:2)

And also...

"...as the Holy Spirit says: TODAY, if you will hear His voice, do not  harden your hearts..." (Heb3:7-8 )

The Creator (Ecclesiastes 12) - Page 2 of 3
From Voice In The Wilderness

The preacher then summarizes his purpose in writing the book. As Saul  had led Israel away from God, David led them back to God; and Solomon  was following in David's footsteps, built the temple, and instituted the  temple worship as God had given it to his father, David. In those  societies the king was the 'teacher' to the population at large. Perhaps  some will remember the media showing us how Saddam Hussein used to sit  on his throne and make 'utterances' of "wisdom" to his people. He was  following in millennia old tradition from that area of the world. The  king was considered to be all-wise and all-knowing.

Notice Solomon's commentary regarding his own process in this regard. He  "pondered, and sought out" his proverbs. He "sought to learn acceptable  words; written words of uprightness and truth" (vs9-10)

Words have meaning. Precise words have precise meaning. Perhaps one of  the most stressful aspects of writing things of importance is the  choosing of the exact words to convey exactly what is intended. Because  precise words are often like "goads" (vs11) that prick; to get the  hearer motivated. If God's Word is to be attached to the door posts of  one's house (De6:9), one chooses carefully the "nail" by which it is  attached.

And this, too, is why the choosing of the right 'translation' of  Scripture is so important. There are impostors producing translations  that say -different- things from what God gave. Because God's Words are  pure words...

"The Words of Jehovah are pure Words, like silver tried in a furnace of  earth, purified seven times." (Ps12:6)  -and-  "Do not add to His Words,  that He not judge you and you be found a liar." (Pr30:6)

And so... how do we know the CORRECT WORDS? The preacher acknowledges:

"The making of many books has no end, and much study is a weariness to  the flesh" (vs12)

Some people often quote this verse to school students somewhat in jest.  But indeed, there are many books. John concludes his gospel with,

"And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were  written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not  contain the books that would be written." (Jn21:25)

How does one find the correct words? By reading umpteen b'zillion books  written by this author and that famous person? Does one need a 'library'  full of book-after-book of commentaries?

"But the anointing which you have received from Him (Jn16:13-14) abides  in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as the same  anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a  lie, and just as it has taught you, you will remain in Him." (1Jn2:27)

After all the talk of "vanity of vanities, all is vanity" what is the  preacher's conclusion:

"FEAR GOD, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS; for this is for every man. For God  will bring every work into JUDGMENT, including every secret thing,  whether good or evil" (vs13-14)

It is very simple. What goes around, comes around. Whatever you  "cast..upon the waters" will be "found after many days" (11:1) This  physical existence consists of cause-and-effect. If you throw an object,  wherever you throw it, that's where it lands. If a tree falls, that's  where it is. (11:3) If you put lotion on your skin, it will become soft.  If you cut yourself with a knife, it will bleed. Not too tough to  understand....right?
