Thank you for your replies.   I must comment, however, I didn't think people would start talking about demons.  I was mostly interested in any Hebrew translations.

If this is a Bible study, please, shouldn't we stick to the Bible and not "other", non canonical books?  If you must feel you need to mention them, please make it absolutely clear that where they are from if not from the Bible.  I wouldn't want anyone to be confused.

Silver,

Matt:22:30----"For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor
are given in marriage, but are like angels in
                       heaven."

Where does it say in the above verse that angels CAN'T marry?  I see that Jesus answered the question posed by the Sadducees (who said there is NO resurrection), that "in the resurrection", no one will marry, they will be like THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN, unmarried.  I don't see this verse referring to fallen angels, nor do I see it referring to ALL angels.  The verse says the "angels in heaven" AREN'T married.  Again, this verse isn't about fallen angels, therefore, I still don't see how you're connectiong Matt:22:30 as contradictory to Genesis 6 in any way.

I don't see that Matthew 22:30 contradicts Genesis 6, nor do I see Matt:22:30 saying angels (fallen) can't marry.  The angels who are in heaven are the angels who kept their first estate.  They aren't married.  It doesn't say they CAN"T marry but rather they AREN"T married.  I don't think any of us know "for sure" if those angels who fell, and were/are on earth, could, or did marry the daughters of men.  We do know that something caused the thoughts of man to be continuously evil, and totally corrupted the earth. So much so, that God was sorry He created man on earth.  It doesn't say He was sorry He created man, but rather sorry He created man on earth.  Maybe because earth is where the fallen angels were?  Hmmm!

Could I have your thoughts on the above, if you want to go into it?

Text implicit on "any" daughters. Huh What difference does this make?  I'm not following you.

That's okay about the words, implicit and explicit.  The word "any" was what I was referring to. The sons of God were free to choose whomever they wished to marry.  That's what it seems like to me.  I think the bible was just telling us, for clarification, that God didn't restrain (free will) them from marrying whomever they chose (if this verse refers to fallen angels).  Again, I know angelic beings are not born in the flesh.  I'm still referring to the fallen angels possessing humans and having relations with them.  Somehow or other, the sperm in the one possessed, gets corrupted or contaminated in that union.  I don't understand how something like this happens, but I do think something is going on here.  I'm going to present an example-------maybe not the best, but at least you'll know where I'm coming from (I hope).  Let's say a married woman doesn't possess fully human characteristics.  Let's say she's self centered and has no remorse, no guilt, no shame, no empathy, no compassion, etc., but mimics them. This is a woman who calls herself a Christian.  As far as she's concerned, she's a Christian and no one can tell her otherwise.  She goes to church on Sunday and tithes, etc.  Mind you, to her neighbors and everyone else, she looks and acts human, but to those who know her a bit more deeply, it appears something just isn't right with her.  She bears and raises children.  It's still looking normal, at least to outsiders.  Don't you think, since this woman lacks character, that her children will be affected (overtly or covertly)?  They may even grow up lacking the exact same characteristics as she does.  Obviously, much more can be said about this condition.  Paradoxically, I've said too much and not enough.  One can call it a mental illness if one chooses, but something very subtle is going on here, nonetheless.  Don't know if you followed the "Scott Peterson"  murder trial out in California, but it's another example of someone looking human, yet, not being quite human.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, who or what are these people.  They certainly aren't what we'd call "normal", and they aren't the "typically" mentally ill, either.  The medical establishment calls them sociopaths or psychopaths. They know right from wrong, but choose wrong.  They're in a class all by themselves.  Oh, and I might add, they're VERY deceitful and rarely seek help.  If they're ever forced into therapy, it's not usually successful.  They're master manipulators and blame others---------very irresponsible people.  I just think these "humans?" are corrupt, contaminated and/or just plain evil.  For sure, they don't have yellow eyes, and foam at the mouth.  They're a lot more subtle!  It gives me the shivers to think about it!

Silver, I'm sorry that I typed this post to you before the quote thingy and not after and that you have to read it in the small print above.  I don't think I know how I did that Undecided.
