As far as I know, cats are not mentioned at all in the Bible. Perhaps this is why cats were always associated with witches, and black cats were a sign of bad luck. Did you know that animal shelters will usually not adopt any black cats out near Halloween because of the sickos out there that abuse them? No, I don't believe black cats are bad luck or anything else that reflects a cat in a negative light. In fact, I own a little black cat; she is an indoor cat. Can anyone guess her name? Okay, guess I'm in my juvenile mode. But, I'll give a "grin" face to the one who can guess the correct name. Now how's that for the grand prize??? Proverbs 12:10 - A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal. God bless all the animals especially the ones we have loved whose sweet spirits are now with Our Lord. Alfie

Good morning to you, Symphony. Tabbies are so pretty and have such sweet temperaments. INKY? Well, that's a real good guess. Kind of cute too. But, sorry, no grin; I will give you a "smiley" face though just for being you! God bless you, Symphony. Alfie Believe it or not,had to edit because I forgot to put in the smiley face.

Oklahoma Howdy to Alfie, First, I'm sorry about the loss of your dog. I have three dogs, and two of them are getting very old. Dogs give almost unconditional love, and I guess that's why many call them man's best friend. UM?, I wouldn't know about cats. I've had a couple, but they didn't like me. How about "Blackie" for the name of your cat?

hey, i know exactly how you feel. i recently lost my dog, 'murphy'. i got her when i was about 8 years old, and she passed away a couple months ago. i know why dogs are called, 'man's best friend', because i can honestly say that murphy was my best friend. she lived to be twelve years old, almost to the exact day, and i was heart-broken when she died. so, i know exactly what you're going through. now, as to your cat; well, i too have a little black kitten. actually i got him shortly after murphy passed away. i named him 'neo' after keanu reaves' character in the matrix, so i'm gonna go with the matrix theme, & take a wild guess, and since u said ur cat was a girl, i'll say 'Trinity'

I'll put my vote in for Raisin. Yup, I used to have a kyoot li'l rooroo too. He would howl every time I played my instrument. He was the harmony, I suppose. We never did make a pro duet, but I appreciated the interest and the heartfelt contribution. He really did put his all into that howling, I can tell you that. Alas, we remained rank amateurs...

Symphony, Whitehorse, Bdoggy, Blackeyedpeas, Thank you all for your kind words and humoring me throughout this whole ordeal. Bdoggy, I'm sorry to hear about your loss, also. I guess I just started to reflect on my cat so much because of the passing of my dog. Thanks for being such good friends and caring. Blessings to all of you. P.S. Sorry, no one got the "grin", but you sure all deserve a great big smile. Alfie

Oklahoma Howdy back to you, BEP. As they would say in "Dragnet"-the name has been changed to protect the innocent: SNOWY. Gotcha! Hey, now that was a good show, and I know for sure we can count on Symphony for a picture.

Oklahoma Howdy To Alfie, How in the world is Symphony going to get a picture of a black cat named "Snowy"? UM?, I wonder if that black cat was offended. In Christ.

Oklahoma Howdy, BEP. We'll let Symphony worry about that one. No, she's not offended. In fact, one day she told me that I could call her anything as long as I called her for dinner. God bless you, Alfie
