This may seem silly for some of you, but everytime i see a book (I have read _much_ and still do, so books are near to my heart) of clearly questionable nature, I have to get it and destroy it. Should I find one from the flea-market, I buy it and then shred it or destroy it otherwise. Now I'm hunting one black bible in net-auction here in finland.
It's gonna cost me, but hey! If that prevents only ONE soul from turning into blackness, it's definitely worth it!

Before I was saved, I used to read carlos castaneda's books a LOT (all of them I think) and in fact I was not far from turning into that, to be honest.
Actually one of my best friends took those teachings seriously and now I do not know what has come to him. Not anything good i am sure.

Cheesy

That is what i do, for now. And I think whatever's gonna be my real calling i will continue doing that because i feel doing that.

Yes, I wonder if there ever would have been 'Nazis', or even WWII, if Hitler had never read Nietzche's works.

Or Stalinist Russia, if there had never been Marx's 'Communist Manifesto'.

But how can you know which book is going to cause whom to disengage?

There was the big controversy over 'The Catcher in the Rye', some years ago.

'Seems there was a book burning in the NT - in Acts...??

I cannot know what difference, if any, it makes to get that specific one book away, I can only hope.

I have thought is this just an act to quiet my guilty conscience of something, or do I do this to look better christian? No, I don't think so. I just have this pressing feeling you know. I HAVE to do this.
