Greek gods & goddesses

If a public school teacher were to teach students about Jesus, the teacher would likely get into some sort of trouble for it if the wrong people found out. Why is it that teachers are aloud to teach middle school children about Greek gods and goddesses? I feel like I'm missing something. What is it technically about Christianity that makes it a subject that can't be taught in public schools?

Do they? I often hear Christians talk about how God can't be mentioned in public schools, or how prayer is illegal, and stuff like that. Is that stuff just misinformation?

They teach Christianity in public schools here in Florida

That must be, because of the hurricanes.  I do know some schools here in Arizona also teach about Christ. Least up here, in the country they do.

Because it's real; because Christians believe in it, and will never say it's just a myth. It's a living religion (don't like that word), if you will. Satan would do whatever he can to stop it's spread.

Greek "gods and goddeses" are part of history (yes, so is our Christ, but He still lives) and so they can say they are teaching "historical religion". I don't think you'd find an awful lot of people around today who still believe those same gods or goddesses are/were real. They aren't a threat to anybody; merely carved images, idols....dead.
