Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love.
--Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)

IrishAngel,
How important it is that we dwell in love! God is love and if we say that we love Him yet hate our brother we live a lie.

1John 3
10   In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Thanks for that quote,

YE THAT LOVE THE LORD, HATE EVIL-Ps 97:10.

God is love, but if God`s love does not dwell in you, by His Spirit, you will surely perish. God`s love demands righteousness. God loves judgment. God is mercy, and mercy rejoices against judgment. God`s love is so great, that it is beyond our understanding. To turn your back on that love, is to bring God`s judgment against you.

God`s love demands justice. God is a Holy God. Every act of disobedience (sin) will be judged. This is God`s love. God`s love is to save and reward the just. God`s love is to judge the disobedient. God`s love says, "Keep My commandments." God`s perfect justice requires a just penalty for those who do not.

Thus, we have God (Who) is love; God`s love for you, and your love for God. God loves us and also wants us to love Him. We are to love in deed. We are to continue in His love. God warns us that, if we do not, we will perish. God tells us: love one another, love your brother, love thy neighbor, and love your enemies.
