If you're prone to get mad at bees, Take some time and listen to me. For if you have ever been stung, It's probably 'cause of something stupid you've done, That made the little bee surmise, That you were plotting its demise, So it gave you a little surprise! Kewl, did you just write this? Yeah. I thought of it just sitting at the computer. I'm actually quite surprised at how quickly it came into my head. Normally when I write poetry I can think of one really good line right off the bat and then I have to agonize for awhile over the rest of the poem.

I just finished it today. It's called "Keeper of the Bees" and it's written by Gene Stratton-Porter. It's a very good book. Very serious most of the time, but occasionally very humorous. I enjoyed it. I have not read that yet; Gene was a rare lady. We visited her homestead in Indiana, which has been turned into a museum. She was so involved with nature, especially swamps...when I read her books, I can feel the breeze, and see the sunlight coming through the trees. She truly had a love for God's creation. I always thought it would be nice to have a beehive. Just get me a sunny hillside covered in clover, safe and warm, and I'd put my bee-house there, and harvest honey... I always wanted an orchard too...lots of apple trees, maybe even the ones that have been grafted with several species of apples that ripen at different times through the year. Apple trees and honey bees. Simple and beautiful... I guess I'm a Coke person.

Coke? I don't see the connection. (as usual ) Its the Coke song. Didn't you know that the world would be perfect if only we could all have a Coke? I'd like to buy the world a home And furnish it with love Grow apple trees and honey bees And snow white turtledoves I'd like to teach the world to sing In perfect harmony I'd like to buy the world a Coke And keep it company That's the real thing (Deep, philosophical stuff.)

I don't know. I'm not old enough to remember. Well, the commercial I'm referring to is like brand-new, so you must be REALLY young.

We have it on tape. It was on a funny/unusual commercial show. It's from the 70's, and all these people are sitting on...bleachers? a lawn? anyway, they all hold candles nad sway back and forth as they sing.
