Yeah. I thought of it just sitting at the computer. I'm actually quite surprised at how quickly it came into my head. Normally when I write poetry I can think of one really good line right off the bat and then I have to agonize for awhile over the rest of the poem.  Tongue

I have not read that yet; Gene was a rare lady. We visited her homestead in Indiana, which has been turned into a museum. She was so involved with nature, especially swamps...when I read her books, I can feel the breeze, and see the sunlight coming through the trees. She truly had a love for God's creation.

I always thought it would be nice to have a beehive. Just get me a sunny hillside covered in clover, safe and warm, and I'd put my bee-house there, and harvest honey...

I always wanted an orchard too...lots of apple trees, maybe even the ones that have been grafted with several species of apples that ripen at different times through the year. Apple trees and honey bees. Simple and beautiful...

I guess I'm a Coke person.

The song was writte by Burt Bacherat (sp?) Talk about bringing back memories.. Yes I remember the song very well.

We have it on tape.

It was on a funny/unusual commercial show.


It's from the 70's, and all these people are sitting on...bleachers? a lawn? anyway, they all hold candles nad sway back and forth as they sing.
