Twobombs,

I sense from your silence on my last 2 posts to you that you may be upset with me, perhaps by something I have said?  I just want to say publicly that if I have, I really am sorry.  I hope that I have not, and I encourage you to send me a private message if you feel that would be more apropriate?

Also, for anyone else reading this, during my absense from CU over the last few months I have been thinking a great deal about the prophecy discussions that took place back then.   Not only here, but a few other boards that I visit.  I am becoming increasingly concerned by the division that this subject (namely the Rapture topic) is creating in the body of Christ.   I think the biggest problem results from the presentation of subject, and lack of Love once disagreements arise.   Since much of prophecy and timing is unclear, and the Christian attribute of Love is quite clear in scripture, I have adjusted my aproach to these discussions.   The debates as it were, seemed to harden us rather than enlighten and edify.   Clearly, prophecy and eschatology are very important in this day and age and need to be studied and disussed among the body of the Lord.   I have always loved prophecy in the scriptures and desire to know all that God is willing to show me concerning it.    But a still small voice in my heart keeps telling me....

1Co 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Not that I feel I posess any of the above, however, it is quite clear that I must possess Charity or Love.   Without it, having any of the others means absolutely nothing.

So just for the record, if anyone was offended by anything I said (or the way it was said) in the past regarding prophecy, my most humble apologies.    I still have strong beliefs about certain areas in prophecy, only because my current understanding of scripture leads me in that direction.  But I don't want to be so sure that I might miss what God may be saying in difference.  And that very well could come in the form of a brother speaking in Love rather than anger.   It is my desire to have a positive affect on this division that seems to come up when the R word shows up in a subject title God willing.

Twobombs, please don't feel as though I am going to rain on anyones parade or harshly debate it because it doesn't agree with mine.   I will discuss disagreements, but my job as a Christian is to love, I'll let God handle any enlightening that needs to be done for ALL of us.   We can even disagree and still Love can we not?

Sorry for the sermon, I just felt I needed to get that off my chest

Grace and Peace!

2nd, I was in fact positively surprised that you replied.
I was waiting for others to join the topic so that it would
create some space and point of view in the topic.

But then again, when you sense a certain silence, maybe even
a "wailing" in my posting you are right. Right now I am in the
process of letting go from a lot of things, and one of them is
disobedient christians or disobedient humans in general. No, I
don't count you among them, but there are others that really
need some attention.... You guys and girls over there on the
other side of the pond are only starting to cope with certain
"accepted" sins in your midst, and weird situations like lesbians
that get a diploma for performing a divorce for the church.
You don't dare to dream that up; it's here for real...

I am very happy with the way this forum is moderated, btw.
Blackeyedpeas knows how to walk the line very well and I want
to thank him for that as I regard him as a good online referee
and that's a very scarse commodity on the christian webforums.

Very well then.  Silence/listening is probably something that should be multiplied by our speech.  After all, we have twice as many ears as we do mouths   Cheesy

We all require his attention in many respects.  I understand what you were saying, but like I said before, my new approach is to start with the man in the mirror first.   He is the only one I can yield to christ anyway.  For the rest, I can only rely on prayer and faith.

Thanks twobombs, glad there is no rapture residual between us...lol

Grace and Peace!

Hi 2Tim, prophecy is not for the weak hearted. Which I think you know. Every time prophecy is fulfilled we come a step closer to the "End Times." Yes I watch prophecy, I would imagin that quite a few do. Although, I think alot of others follow, what is posted without comment. I myself have started a few threads on this subject.
Some of what 2B says, I agree with. Some of what 2B says, I don't agree with. I am sure 2B feels the same way about what I have said. I still respect him and love him though, as a person in Christ. I look at it as a point of view. 2B is in the old country. I am in the new world, (North America.) Views in the old country are different then in the new world.
Remember that a point of view is what makes us different. After all God put us here, and everyone is different.
As for disobedient christians and disobedient humans, 2B. That is our job, to bring them the word of Christ. Grin

My post is from my heart, not my brain, so there is no malice towards you 2 Tim. Most of the time I pray for the answers I have posted on the boards. The answers that I have been lead to believe that God wants me to say in my posts. So this may be a little jumbled from my normal answers.

Go in peace with God

I agree DW. I have no malice toward anyone here. However, I will continue to present His Word even if it goes against what others might believe. That makes some people angry with me. It is not my intention to cause anyone any grief - however, I will not back down from what I believe is the truth.

Having said that. I am not too proud to admit when I am wrong. I have done that openly on this forum. I am not too proud to admit that I have learned a lot from many posters here - I have, Paul2 - 2nd Tim and Dream Weaver have taught me loads I continue to learn every time I visit this forum. I have witnessed the love and patience of Blackeyedpeas many times over - I learn a lot from him also. Some of us have a major problem admitting when we are wrong - or saying we are sorry, and some of us seem to think we are "prophets" here only to "teach" and not to learn.

I hold onto my belief in a pre-trib rapture ( this topic causes a lot of trouble). However, if I was lead to convincing evidence that pointed elsewhere ( and I haven't so far), I would admit my mistake and change camps. All I want is to follow His Truth - not mine.

Having said that, I feel it is important that we follow only the scriptures, and not our own "dreams" or "visions" unless they line up 100% with the scriptures. I have seen this often on these forums. A Christian has a "dream" or is given a "new truth" straight from God - and that can, and has happened. However, if it isn't biblical, then it isn't from God. Can we agree on that? Are we aware that satan can enter our minds and dreams as well?

Twobombs and I have clashed in the past - but I have no disrespect or malice toward him at all. I believe he is a true, honest follower of Jesus, although I do not agree with a lot of what he believes. He has also enlightened me ( on occasion)  Wink

Most of us are all here for the right reasons. Can we agree to disagree without having hard feelings? We can disagree and still love and respect each other my friends. I can, and do.

Bless you all, my brothers and sisters...

HEY,
ALRIGHT, a friendly descussion of the different view of the rapture. HOW I have wanted that myself over the years. We must all strive to understand how each interpets the word, and honestly rapture is a deep subject that seems to have several different view that can be supported by scripture. BUT like some of the other here, I believe there is more truth  in the pretrib rap. But I love to compare the scriptures, and hear what others have to say about the way they understand......what is the scripture that says iron sharpening iron. We are to keep each other sharp. I have been been guilty of letting my ego's get in the way. So, I can totally agree with what is being said here, I will defend the way I understand the word reads, but please it is NOTHING personal against anyone.
I was on another site, a few years ago and was completely black balled because my views were different than the moderator had. And that is how the site was run, only what she thought and if anyone differed with her opinion they were given the scarlet letter of false prophet etc etc. I am not even sure that site is up anymore. WE must all be careful of what we let other teach us, If it doesn't line up with the word then pitch it out, don't except it.
I appreciate sooo much what blackeyedpeas does for this site. It truly takes a discerning heart to be a good mod, and we have one here, guess thats why I keep popping back in everyonce in a while. Got to keep my foot in the door ya know.

OH OUCH, OH OPEN THE DOOR. OPEN THE DOOR!,  Wink lub chew all.

Bronzes, as you know I believe in the mid-trib. Where as you believe in the pre-trib. As far as I can tell that is the one point you and I disagree on.

FWIW:

In re pre, mid, post trib raptures, and even including the post-mills, it does appear to me that it doesn't matter (doctrine wise) when we get there, if we believe we will get there!

Now, some of us will get there quicker than others...eh?  Grin
