I suppose....but all the ingredients in my kitchen paint are white and it's not so good.

No, no, no...... The white was in response to "but white gravy....that IS just wrong....it looks so....so ..... pale!"
..... Tongue
'Course I've never tried kitchen paint.... Wink

Up north we have a use for grits.  It makes our sandpaper work - and we can get them in all varieties but adding butter would not help.

That's only BEFORE they're cooked!  Wink And I agree that butter won't help with the sandpaper!  Grin

You Yanks probably don't even like buttermilk biscuits!  Shocked

Aren't butter milk biscuits like dinner rolls except mealy and made from milk that has gone bad?

They kind of all lump together in your mouth as you chew them and stick to the sides of your throat when you try to swallow.

Kind of like the larva form of English Muffins I think.

Yuk!

No, Michael, this time you are wrong. They are wonderfully fluffy....hot and flaky and smothered with butter....mmmmmm

If you've had the kind you describe, then the cook should be punished!

I like 'em fried, like pancakes.

You like what fried? The bugs or the grits? And if the grits, how can you fry that sloppy mess of white stuff?
I have no idea how to fry it. I've tried, and it just turns into brown slop instead of white slop. But my great-uncle fries it and loves it, and I like HIM, so...yeah, I like 'em fried.  Tongue
