A friend of mine, PJ, just got this rejection letter from UT Tyler. He is kind of upset. He has all these ideas about things he wants to do. Open a coffee shop. Open a Bar. Open a tattoo parlor. Open a LAN Arena. But, it isn’t going to happen what he working at Western Pulp Products incorporated, piecing together cardboard for corners of furniture next to a 3000 degree oven in a tin warehouse. He didn’t last his first semester in Jr. College, and he lost his art scholarship. I don’t know what he is going to do. Pray for him.

Another friend of my, Vince, is going to UT Tyler in the Fall. He is majority in history. But, this guy is a redneck. I have to be honest. He does have Christmas light on his house all year round. His roommates dog gave birth to a litter of puppies under the house a little while back. He owns Cowboys and likes the Dallas Cowboys. The point being, he is a simpleton. He did ok in Junior college, but now he is moving to an upper level University! Pray God gives him extra understanding.

I also want pray for them in there spiritual lives. PJ has been questioning Christianity (which I’m all for) but instead of finding problems with his own faith, he only sees problems with God. And Vince is starting to go to this church that is nothing more then a Social Club. I’d      to see him fall into complacency. Pray God these guys.

I feel deeply compassionate for PJ  Cry   He needs a better relationship with God. It seems like he is going to rely on him self to establish a future, but what he needs to know is that God wants him to trust and rely in Jesus. He is beating himself over what he thinks he needs to do.

Vince, i'll pray that he has an open mind.

You’re words are truer then you know. You don’t happen to live in Texas, do you? Grin

But honestly, I was surprised at who accurate your post is. It looks like you know what to pray for! Thanks.

Standing in agreement with Vinnie...

O Lord, draw all these folks closer to You and Your perfection. Bring the Spirit to convict and save. Show Your power and give direction to these lives... in Jesus' name, amen
