Ok there is something I don't get about Hockey.

Sure it is hard - I mean just skating backwards is bad enough but then to let other runs into (a foul and cheating in any other sport) makes it all that more difficult.

All that said - the best players in the world suck at it.

They can't score more than 5 times at most per game.  If that was all I could live with it because the same is true of soccer.  But they go up and down the ice passing to other players and it only goes to the guy they want it to go to once out of about 4 tries, the rest of the time someone else gets the puck.  I know baseball hitter only bat .300 and then only ifthey are really good, but at least they field up over 90% hockey players can't even do that.

Now I am sure that this is because hockey is hard and NOT because the hockey players aren't great atheletes; but still, if you were that bad at your job would you want people to come and watch you work?

That depends of your definition of bad. "Bad" is directly proportional to the style of game. That's why nobody says soccer players stink even though most games are around 2-1. Also, you are merely focusing on the offensive aspect of the game. The fact that a lot of passes aren't completed shows that a lot of players are good defensively, which is just as important as offense.
