(I decided to put this here because I don't know whether the poetry forum is for Christian stuff only)

What good are cats? I ask you now.
No good are cats you say.
They use you as a scratching post,
And rub your skin away.

All they do is howl
When you are trying to sleep.
And if you scream they purr at you
And make you feel like a creep.

They drop their hairballs in your den
When you’re trying to clean for guests.
They nip and scratch and bite and yet
No one thinks they’re pests.

So if you’re planning to buy a cat,
Just put the thought to bed.
If you want a loyal pet,
Buy a dog or parrot instead.

--
I can add some more stanzas if you'd like. And I might write one about dogs, too. It will definitely be more flattering.

Cute poem...
The best pet is...

They never poop in the corner, bite the postman or claw the furniture.

I have some of those. They're deadly (if you choke on one).

My fish beg for food and then everyone thinks that I don't feed them and then they do and it makes me have to clean their tank faster.

They bash into the glass every time you walk by and follow you around the tank.
