It is cheap to entertain him anyway.

It is also fun to tease him and say "Look" as you point at the sky.  He looks up and tries to figure out what to snap at.

Have you ever tried to get your cats to chase one of those red laser pointers?   Excellent work out for them, however my dog loves that thing more than the cats do....lol

I use a flashlight, its loads of FUN Grin

I used to tease my dog when I was a kid by going into a dark room with him, turning on the flashlight, pointing it to the ceiling, and slowly moving my hand over the light.  He'd start shivering, then all of a sudden, you slam your hand down over the light...and he'd run out of the room yelpin'!  Only to come right back and wait for you to do it again.  It was fun!

He is turning out to be a handful    Undecided     He is bonding with me fairly well, but he is a bit awkward around the wife and kids.    He is very intelligent, and learns quickly, so I am hopeful we can teach him the kids and wife are above him in the pack so to speak.   If not we may have to consider returning him to his previous home.   Can't have a large Rott thinking he is alpha over certain humans in the house.

I used to have German Shepherd/Basenji dogs. Now that I am handicapped I can't handle b ig dogs like that anymore and my landlord wouldn't allow it anyway. So I decided to go with a Rat Terrier.

Meet Buster, this is him after a walk in the cold.

Nap time.
