Hello Everyone!

My name is Deborah and I live in Illinois.

I found this bulletin board while searching the web for Christian sites.  I thought I would come in and introduce myself.

Thank you both for your warm welcomes.

Sorry was such a short intro ... but I was preoccupied with 2 of my beloved grand babies.

I am a Nana of 4 beautiful blessings.  Alyssa (5) Nicholas (3) Adrianna and Breanna (2).  They are my pride and joy.

I am presently depressed and seeking some indepth answers.  I am seeking God's Will for me in my life and His purpose for me.

Oklahoma Howdy to Deborah,

There are many grandparents here, including me. It would be nice to have four grandchildren, but I only have two precious little boys (one is 1, one is 3 1/2). They live about 4 hours away, so I don't get to see them as much as I would like to.

Reference seeking God's will and purpose in our lives, that should be a daily prayer for all Christians. We have a prayer request and discussion area that might be a good place to talk about the depression. There are many sweet Christians here who will pray for you.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ahem. Now THAT sounds like a lot of "purpose in life" right there!  Smiley

Hi to you too... Smiley My two grandkids call me Nanny and live almost in my backyard.  I see them every single day and I still miss them when they leave.  Of course short visits are sometimes the best...one is 7 and one is 4 and never the twain shall get along for too long you know.  Nanny's nerves ain't what they used to be ;)Welcome to this group of really good folks.  I'm new here too and love it!

Oh I often-times say, "I should have been a Nana first".  What a wonderful role we play in our grandbaby's lifes!

I've had the wonderful opportunity of having mine live with me for most of their lives.  When they moved out whew what a time I had dealing with that change.

I see so much sadness in the world today.  Much could be lessened if only people would realise their happiness and salvation can only be achieved through one step... accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior... as our only means to an eternal life.

Often, I ask myself how do people survive from day to day without Christ living in them.  Such a wonderful gift that so many refuse to see and so lovingly and freely offered.

Quote
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
