My first post other than my intro...go figure

Yep...I love my cats.I have 4- A huge 14 lb. orange and white tom named Ramsey.
Smokey-actually my 15 yr olds
Allie Capoot-The only girl and a beautiful Black with just a little white on her belly.
Banjo- Allie's only baby-yep she just had 1.
They have all been spayed or nutered now. They all have their own personalities

Ramsey is the oldest and the snobby one,He is 11 yrs. old
Smokey never gets tired of loving on us every time we are still long enough.
Allie is the lady- always so prim and proper
Banjo- the baby-so funny-the house clown
The only bad thing about cats is a litterbox which is why my cats don't have one!
They go to the door and meow to be let out.Smart cats..huh? Cheesy

It would be wonderful not to have a litter box but that wouldn't work for me as my two girls and a guy have all been declawed and wouldn't be able to survive out side. At least that's what I was told by my vet. Cheesy

Yes, we had to sign papers at the vet's office stating that our cats would never be allowed to go out-of-doors after being declawed.
(The cats did not agree, and they have performed several amazing feats of property patrol, including bringing down hummingbirds and chasing dogs and climbing a few trees)

Yes well one of my cats did get outside once and all the other cats in the neighborhood beat him up. I had to rush him to the vet and he had to take antibiotics for a week. He not only had bite marks on him but somehow during the fight he bit his tounge. It was really messed up. So my cats will not be going outside.

I have two cats (Lincoln, and Autumn). I love them, but they're a struggle to deal with from time to time.

One time I had a sandwitch in my room. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands before eating it. Upon returning to my room, I saw Lincoln in my room about to get to the sandwitch. I quickly grabbed him before he could get into it, and I rushed him out of the room. Then when I went back into my room, I saw Autumn about to get into the sandwitch. I rushed her out of the room. Then when I went back to my room I see Lincoln once again about to get to the food. I rushed him out yet again... Then I saw Autumn, YET AGAIN, in my room about to get the sandwitch so I rushed her out of the room.

Repeat, approx 5 times.  Cheesy

I couldn't get both of them at the same time. And eventually Autumn beat me to the sandwitch.  Sad

You would have saved yourself some time if you divided the sandwich between them and had another one for you.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

There! I've said it!

 Cool

What a topic to disrupt the unity of the Body!!  Wink

I had always been a "dog" person but started to have cats when I adopted one orphan kitten from my street.  I also fed some strays (spayed/neutered) on my street for many years.  I learned that cats can come like a dog and will follow you just like a dog, too, and are very affectionate.

One of my cats (the only male I ever had) was smart enough to use the toilet without any training!  We always kept the lid down because we didn't want the cats to "fall in" the toilet.  Well, one day Crystal beat my mother to the toilet and proceeded to relieve himself, after she had raised the lid!!  Smiley  After that, we always left the lid up and he used the toilet faithfully until he died of old age at 23 years!!

Now I have 2 female kitties (10 and 12 years old)....7 pounders....got them from my street and I guess they were malnourished kittens.  One is very social to everyone that comes in the door....the other one hides under the bed when we get visitors!
