What did “we” edit from the bible. Forgive me for not sharing this view of how it happened, but it is pretty clear Marten Luther Changed the bible when he left the church. This is not a conspiracy, lone-gunman theory. It is a historical fact. Why even bring it up. We are all having fun, there is not need to start an argument other this and that. As  stated in a post last night, you are more then welcome to PM me and we can talk thru each one of your beliefs on Catholicism. It might help you to gave more understanding on your part.

I think the verses of the songs mean what they mean, without the use of a bible. It isn’t the lyric that get me (Well, it is, but not as much). You see, Christianity isn’t about doing things the way the world does. The Christian music industry is about don’t things like the Church should do it. Listen to Secular music. What is stopping you? Nothing. Do not be conformed to the ways of this world, my friend. Christian music has done just that. Is it really "god loving" music, is they question. We have to ask ourselves, is art from the heart of the artist, or is it interpreted by the fan of the art? I guess you answer to this question is what really defines how you feel about Christian music.

You made it sound modern. God said NOT to change his words.

Also: You guys split one of the ten commandments, and took one away.

How did we modernize it? New living translation? The Message? These are all evangelical translations, they have nothing to do with Catholicism. When did Catholics “Modernize” the bible? I am sorry, but I just honestly can’t figure out what translation you are referring too. I can think if countless Protestant versions that try to “modernize” the bible, but I don’t know of any of Catholic origin.

On top of that, while I don't agree with modern translations, I don't see how they are "editing" anything. To edit means to change. These translations don’t change the bible, they only translate it differently.

There are tons of great Christian Rock/Metal bands out there. My personal favorite on kind of a heavy note is Demon Hunter but if you like Switchfoot you may not like them. Also POD is really good and Chevelle is great. Another great Christian rock band is Thousand Foot Krutch whom i really love. These should keep you going for a while.
