The Morning Star

The Christian book store closest to my place is called The Morning Star Christian Book Store. Satan is referred to as the morning star. It just seems kind of odd that they would name their store that.

"And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning start rises in your hearts" (2 Peter, 1:19)

Maybe that's why they're a Christian "book store".

They don't have time to simply read their bible; so they have to sell "books".

Satan was referred to as the "Morning Star"; he was the chief angel in heaven, before he was thrown down. He stood in God's presence. After his fall, and the subsequent fall of all Creation, his title was stripped from him. Ebia posted some of the verses that refer to Christ being the Morning Star.

Satan tried to take the power of God for himself; but though He was God, Jesus did not consider such glory a thing to be grasped, and was therefore rewarded as He deserved, and sits at His Father's right hand.

Satan (or the King of Babylon depending on your interpretation) is referred to as the morning star in Isaiah. If you're reading a KJV it says lucifer instead.
