I first logged on here, July 4, 2002, shortly after the Forum was first up and running, and before the Crash here in March, 2003.

It was new then, fresh.  I'm sure the new ones here now are just as much fun, but I thought I'd list the names here of the ones I can remember, from B4 the Crash(B.C., hehe).  The first one who helped me with my question, I believe, was Aaron, who use to post lengthy and thoughtful posts.  He hasn't reappeared at all, that I know of.  A few of these have reappeared as their earlier title, some with modified titles, some with new titles.  These are the ones I remember.  I'm sure I will forget some.  Please add any you  might remember!

Aaron                        Sunshine(canada)
slhunley                     Sunshine in S.W.D.
goinhomesoon             browneyes(now tigerlily)
JapEmp                      Irish Angel(now Blue Star)
SugarPlumAnn             sincereheart
UnBeliever                  Forrest
teambmember             SherBear
Comfort Eagle             nX
AAAAmember              c
joelkaki                      KT
Caelin                        Marc
Alfie                          His Word Lives
Hitch                         atryus28
freeman                     Raphe
Christian                    friend
Pilgrim                       Kiwi
Early57(me)                ollie
blackeyedpeas            Angie

At that time, last summer, team b member was I believe the top poster--agnostic, atheist, sometimes contemptuous, other times tolerant, he gave us a time, but was helpful at other times.  AAAA member  too, joined him in giving us a hard time--at times atheist, or agnostic, other times willing to listen. She has reappeared, but hasn't posted.

The biggest snafu last summer was with "friend", a Quaker from Florida, who steadily but increasingly was beating the war drums of nudism, how important and necessary it was for everyone to disrobe.  That went on for several months.  Most were quite relieved when friend was, um, "disinvited"(hehe).

No doubt I have forgotten some obvious ones, and others less obvious but equally very important.  One I know was a frequent poster, from Phila, PA, but just can't remember his name.  He still posts from time to time.  Please remind me(and forgive me, por favor).

It's just interesting how you miss the ones now gone--even, or especially the ones you don't agree with, or whom don't agree with you.

It's weird, sometimes, how you even miss the ones you maybe thought you didn't even like.

Maybe that's why we are commanded to love even, or especially, our enemies.  Maybe there's a built-in sense, in all of us, that all that we have now, or know now, is passing away, with that sense of finality.  That we maybe need to take better advantage of the time that we have, when or while we have it, with whomever we know.  We can't see what's on the other side of that bridge, until we cross it.  So now we only see in part.

Symph,

You're right of course, and the irony is that some of my fondest memories are of contentious discussions with people who's names now totally escape me.

Hello Symphony and friends -- LinuxGeek here.

Yes I too remember before the crash.  I signed up in June and was one of the first ones on the board.  I met some wonderful people yet I have kept in touch with one, Jodi, a very dear friend.  The others went their own way.  The board was fantastic at first!

I have made a few posts here and wanted to keep it a truly christian site but without the help of the admin it is hopeless, so I started my own board on my own website where only christian discussion is encouraged.

I truly miss the wonderful conversations I had with you Symphony and other friends such as Pilgrim, groundbreaker and Stephanie.

God willing I will again be able to spend some time here and discuss scripture and the love of Jesus Christ our saviour and Lord.

The peace and love of Christ be with you and all friends.
God bless.

Whoa!  Hey, Linux, nice to see you.  Thanks.  Yes, where IS slhunley??  Haven't heard from her e-mail, for several months now.  Maybe she's in jail?  She has been twice, for picketing abortion clinics, I believe.  I may be going myself, albeit for different reasons.  I'm publishing a weekly bible verse as a newspaper ad. (hehe)

Yes, I know, CU isn't what it could be.  I came on July 4th--can you believe that?  Seems like it just went down hill after that... sorta like...

Symphony,

Just remembered some more old names: Iraneus and Petro.
They disagreed quite frequently with one another. Do you know if either are back?

Blessings my friend,

Alfie
