Um, hi. I'm new to the forums. I'm 15 (soon to be 16 in two days) and basicly i've always wanted to be 16 and get my drivers liscense. But something nearly stood in my way last night. You see, I was watching The 10 Commandments (great movie) with my dad last night. I made a pallet on the couch in case I fell alseep (movie = 4 hours and 45 mins long... yea) Well anyways. I've been a little sick lately (with a new flu going around, I think). And on top of that I have horrible allergies (even worse, pollen count is high this spring). Eventually I fell asleep and my two miniture dogs and cat jumped up on the couch with me. Through-out the night I rubbed my eyes and coughed up lungs b/c they were carrying pollen on them. I woke up about 2 am to find I couldn't breath very well. My glands were swollen and my heart was beating REALLY fast. I started shaking and getting dizzy. My dad was awake along with my brother (19 y/o). They weren't sure what to do. They offered to drive me to the hospital but I knew I'd be there for hours and get no help. (our hospital isn't very reliable) So they figure Vicks vapor rub and some Nyquil would help the conjestion and me stop coughing. I was scared to take the Nyquil b/c I was afraid I would stop breathing in my sleep. Needless to say, I trusted God on this. And I prayed about it. I don't even remember fallening asleep, but when I woke up, I was completly fine. I could breath fine, I wasn't coughing NEARLY as much, but I was still a little shaking and dizzy. Every now and then since i've woken up, I'll feel slightly short of breath. I have a doctors apointment in about 30 mins. This whole experience scared me very much, I was afraid I wouldn't see my friends and family for a long time. I'm hopeing someone would be willing to pray that this isn't some disease, or that it doesn't happen again. Thank you.

facedown_4god,
Welcome to the forum, and you have my prayers!

Allergies can be nasty – I wonder if you have a little asthma in the mix???  Prayers will definitely help!

Oh – and HAPPY BIRTHDAY (early) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS – sounds like it could be time to get rid of those dogs and cats and get a pet rock and gold fish.  Grin

Welcome Facedown 4 God.
I will be praying for you to feel better and for the doctor to be able to diagnose what is going on or was going on last night.
God Bless You,
