I was just wondering if anyone can resolve a small problem I'm having.

I was reading an American book which had an episcopalian church as its focal point in it. Whats been puzzling me is that in that book it mentioned people sitting "on the gospel side" in church, and mentioned someone changing to sitting on the gospel side as though this were an important thing.

What was it on about?

Anyone got any idea? I'm puzzled!

Sorry, Broken - I know nothing about the Episcopalian church - but it sounds interesting!  Smiley

I'll monitor this post with you to learn from a reply...

What the significance of someone choosing to sit on the left would be, I couldn't say.

Of course these days the gospel is read from the centre of the church amongst the people in any self-respecting Anglican church.

Aha, thank you, ebia.

Now I know what the author was talking about Smiley

I'm technically an Episcopalian myself, being on the rolls of the Church of England, but its not something I've heard referred to before Smiley
