Little Gifts From God

Well this is just a silly story of something that happened to me today. But it's just an example of how much God cares about us and takes care of us. Even down to the little things.

My neighbor gave me a book about 2 weeks ago. It is called The Gospel of John (Vol1) by William Barclay. A Daily Study Bible Series.
Well, I have been taking it everywhere with me and reading it along with my bible a bit every day. I am only on page 22 but boy howdy, It is Life Changing stuff.
Anyways, I was reading it this morning and just shaking my head at the teachings in there and how it is changing how I look at God, His Word and helping me grow as a Christian.

I was thinking what a blessing these books (its a series of about 19 or so) would be if my children could read them when they are older. I was thinking about maybe looking on ebay but knowing we didn't have the money this month (or next for that matter).
Well, It kept niggling my brain and the kids were napping so, I hopped on the computer and looked it up on Ebay. Yup, sure as I expected, each book on some auctions was 9.99. There were a few sets up to 75.00 with days to go.
Well, I scrolled down to the bottom and Lo and Behold.
There was a set of 19 that was listed two hours earlier with a Buy It Now price of 19.99!!
I was hesitant to bid But Remembered the phone call of the Mom of the baby I'm watching. She needed me an extra day next week. There was the extra money! Now I know we could have used it for this or that bill. And Yes I have a little bit of guilt.
But I know it was a small gift from God that is such a blessing to me and hopefully will be to my husband and children.
I'm in awe and amazement at the goodness of our Lord.
And how he touches us and remembers us in small ways everyday.
