For all the Arthur Conan Doyle fans out there, B&N has a 2 Volume set of the complete Sherlock Holmes. 8 bucks for each volume! A good buy!

Side note, they are having a nation wide deal, selling all the classics for like 5-10 bucks! Everything from Mark Twain to Charles Darwin to Plato! At great prices, and massive amount of footnotes with social and literate commentry! They are all easy to read, unbradged translations! B&N is known for the Starbucks of coffee (meaning most of the costs are taxes you for the right to stand in the store), but these deals are to great to pass up!!

Got my Complete Sherlock Holmes in the Library basement for 50 cents...and it came with a napkin (clean) from a restaurant named for the great detective himself...

You can get a whole bag of books for $5.00...and if you buy the right one, it might have a prize in the middle...

If you buy $10.00 worth of books you get a library coffee mug...or a t-shirt...

No coffee, though.   Sad But if you like, I can charge you for the right to stand on the premises!!

I got my Complete Sherlock Holmes as a child.  Two volumes of great reading.

But I love going to our Friends of the Library Bookstore in the basement as you do.  Books of all types 25 cents to a dollar, can't beat it.

I have built my collection of religious texts in that place (not exclusively but have found a lot) and almost always find something to buy at every visit.

I read most of the Sherlock Holmes stuff when I was younger.  One book - two stories in one book - I read had Holmes appear to die at the end of the first story and a surprise survival at the start of the 2nd.

I didn't know at the time, the author had gotten tired of Holme and had him die.  Then when faced with the huge outcry by fans - had him surprise survive.
