Hijab protests: Iranian women publicly remove veils to raise their voices

This year's 'National Day of Hijab and Chastity' in Iran was unusual in more ways than one. On July 12, Iranian women took to the streets and publicly removed their veils as a sign of protest against the country's hijab rules. They also posted their videos on social media.

Masih Alinejab, a US-based Iranian journalist and activist, tweeted her video supporting the Iran hijab protest and wrote, "As we promised! We remove our hijabs and I hope everyone joins us. Forcing women to wear hijab is not part of Iranian’s culture. It is the culture of the Taliban, ISIS and the Islamic Republic. Enough is enough. #No2Hijab"

Tariq Ramadan case: Prosecution files charges for rape of four women

A new twist in the case of Tariq Ramadan (photo). On Tuesday July 12, Paris prosecutors called for a jury trial for the Swiss Islamic scholar suspected of rapes he allegedly committed against four women between 2009 and 2016, Le Parisien reports. The 59-year-old had initially denied having extramarital sex before admitting to “dominance relationships” that were rough but “consensual”, the regional newspaper recalls. According to his lawyers, the plaintiffs claimed rape due to “sentimental or sexual disappointments” or a political conspiracy, which their client had made an issue of long before.

It all started in October 2017 with the complaints of Henda Ayari, a former Salafist turned secular activist, and a woman known as “Christelle”. Both had each reported a rape that allegedly took place in Paris in 2012 and another in Lyon in 2009, Le Parisien further reports. As a reminder, between February 2018 and October 2020, Tariq Ramadan had been consecutively charged with rape against these first two complainants, as well as three other potential victims. He had subsequently been imprisoned for ten months. Two of the alleged victims were identified by law enforcement authorities from photos and messages found on the Islamist’s computer. A third victim – the former escort girl Mounia Rabbouj – had accused Tariq Ramadan of committing nine rapes between 2013 and 2014.

UK Takes Action Against Islamic Schools Teaching Values Contrary to LGBT, Feminism

In late June 2022, the UK’s Department for Education published a report detailing a decision to ban a certain Muslim private school proprietor from managing independent schools.

The Secretary of State for Education declared Waheed Alam (popularly known as Abu Khadeejah) unfit to be involved in the management of private schools, “unable to comply with his safeguarding responsibilities, and relevant legislation,” effectively disqualifying him from any and all school leadership roles.

This particular action by the UK authorities represents a much bigger problem that affects all Muslims in the West.

The Secretary of State had previously found Abu Khadeejah guilty of “conduct…aimed at undermining the fundamental British value of individual liberty” with said conduct being “offensive, inappropriate, and contrary to the Equality Act 2010, the Independent Schools Standards, and DfE statutory guidance.”

Germany: Muslim refugees steal and slaughter “Pepper” the goat

Last weekend, the goat “Pepper” was stolen in Borgentreich, North Rhine-Westphalia. The owner family and their children, who had an intimate emotional relationship with the trusting animal, had desperately appealed to the public via the local press, hoping that the rare Thuringian Forest goat (it is an endangered species of domestic animal) would be found unharmed and returned to them. Unfortunately, this hope dashed: on Monday, Pepper’s remains were discovered at the Central Accommodation Facility for Refugees (ZUE).The animal had been brutally slaughtered – that is, traditionally, without stunning – on the occasion of the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice, which takes place from July 9 to 13. The police discovered bones, fur and other relics of the goat on the fence of the facility. The meat was kept hidden in one of the buildings – of course without any minimum hygienic or sanitary standards. The devout amateur butchers allegedly behaved extremely aggressively towards the authorities when the remains were seized.

Udaipur murder: Dawat-e-Islami had formed team of 40 people in Rajasthan to behead Nupur Sharma supporters in Taliban style

During the investigation on the Kanhaiya Lal murder in Udaipur by National Investigation Agency and Anti Terrorist Squad, it has been revealed that Pakistani organization Dawat-e-Islami and terrorist outfits had formed a team of 40 people in Rajasthan to target supporters of former BJP Spokesperson Nupur Sharma. A list of targets was created by the terrorist outfits who were to be executed in Taliban style.

As per reports, the 40 people linked to Dawat-e-Islami were given the task of “teaching a lesson” to those who publish posts on social media in support of Nupur Sharma. These people were associated with Dawat-e-Islami for over a year. The investigation agencies found out about the conspiracy by checking the call details of terrorists Riyaz Attari and Mohammad Gos, who were arrested for brutally killing Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur for a social media post supporting Nupur Sharma.

During the investigation, 20 mobile numbers of 10 people from Pakistan were investigated. Reportedly, the 40 people from India were given a target list to spread panic in India by publishing beheading videos in Taliban style. People associated with Dawat-e-Islami in six districts in Rajasthan were given the task of teaching a lesson to people for supporting Nupur Sharma.

Woman, 20, faces death by stoning for cheating on her husband in first case for a decade

In Sudan - which uses sharia as its legal structure - people convicted of Hudud crimes, which include theft, highway robbery, adultery and apostasy, can have their hands and feet cut off, be flogged or even killed by the state.

The last time a woman was sentenced to death by stoning for cheating on her partner in Sudan was in 2013 - but the woman escaped death when the High Court overturned the decision.

Human rights groups are calling for Maryam's immediate release.

Apologist for Sudan Genocide On Commission that Condemned It

The Biden Administration has appointed Mohamed Hag Magid, a prominent imam from Virginia with ties to American Islamist organizations, to serve on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). Predictably enough, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, welcomed Magid’s appointment, with its deputy director Edward Ahmed Mitchell declaring, “His long and stellar record of humanitarian and interfaith work will make him a valuable asset to the commission’s work.”

Zuhdi Jasser, a founder of American Islamic Forum for Democracy and a former USCIRF commissioner himself, is furious with Magid’s appointment to the body, declaring that it marks Joe Biden’s “place in history as the ‘American Muslim Brotherhood’s @POTUS’” and that the Islamists’ “global campaign to squelch dissent from their critics has co-opted another platform.”

Iran Loves to Have a Good Tyrant or a Terrorist as a Friend

Iran is always ready to help a violent tyrant or terrorist in need, from Lebanon to Yemen, and from Gaza to Moscow, Iran revels in living on the wrong side of history. This week the U.S. government announced that Iran was coming to the aid of Russia in their Ukraine campaign of terror. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan briefed the press that the Iranian government “is preparing to provide Russia with up to several hundred UAVs, including weapons-capable UAVs on an expedited timeline.”

This comes just as Russia is in need of miniaturized air support. The Russians have been struggling to get intelligence and surveillance platforms to their front-line troops, and this move by Iran is meant to aid their tyrannical regional neighbors. Iran and Russia are both in need of economic friends, making this an ideal pairing.

Radical Islam is conquering Africa

In today’s Africa, radical Islam seems to have not only overcome hurdles raised by the Western powers and regional governments but become a growing threat to countries where it was almost nonexistent, irrelevant or marginal a few years ago. The Islamic State (IS) and other groups have targeted unstable regimes that have experienced repeated coups d’états, conflicts with Western military powers, economic decline and divisions between tribes, sects, and religions. The Islamists have found fertile ground in such countries. Recruitment is easy, indoctrination is even easier and consolidation has never been more straightforward.

As a result, the attacks perpetrated by Islamists have increased in audacity and their range of targets, sowing havoc and fear in areas that central governments have traditionally neglected. As a result, local populations have left their homes, leaving the areas under the total control of the Islamists. The refugees have then flocked to the capital cities, creating severe humanitarian and political crises.

Sweden: A nine-year-old girl was raped in a playground by an Ethiopian migrant who had just been granted a permanent residence permit and then she was left for dead. The little girl is in a coma

Nyberg tells TV4 that the criminal assessment in the case is now aggravated rape of a child in addition to attempted murder. The seriously injured girl is still in hospital and has not yet been questioned.

The prosecutor tells several media outlets that the age of the suspected 13-year-old boy is unclear and that it is possible that he is in fact of age.

Investigators are now trying to collect documents to clarify the boy’s real age. He will also be subjected to a medical age assessment.

The suspected boy and his family had arrived in Sweden from Ethiopia in the summer of 2017. The boy is accused of abusing other girls and young women in Skellefteå.

16-year-old Hindu girl abducted in Pakistan, forcibly married to Muslim man, say reports News9 Staff

In Pakistan's Sindh province, a 16-year-old Hindu teen was kidnapped and forcibly married to a Muslim man, India Today reported. After being kidnapped, she was forcefully converted to Islam. Following the kidnapping, members of the Hindu community took to the streets to protest in front of Zardari House in Nawabshah.

Protesters chanted anti-police slogans and demanded that former President Asif Ali Zardari intervene to help them find the minor girl.

Pakistani Christian mechanic sentenced to death for blasphemy

In Pakistan, a Christian mechanic has been sentenced to death for blasphemy. A court in the city of Lahore handed down the ruling.

It started when a local Imam visited the motorbike repair shop. Nehemiah with FMI says, “Once he had done his job, this Imam refused to pay him. Because in Pakistan, Christians are being treated like dogs. I’m sorry to use this word. But literally, people use Christians like animals and dogs, like outcasted people. And he refused to pay him.”

Hell on Earth—Yemenis Forced Into the World's Greatest Crisis

In a square meter grave-like cell waits Fateh, a Houthi prisoner. She has been deprived of food and drink for hours. She is promised release when she admits to a false charge of prostitution, but she refuses to give in. Her fellow prisoners, like her, are constantly subjected to sexual assault and rape. When she is released, surviving the Houthi prison system, she shares her story with the Yemeni Coalition of Independent Women.

This unimaginable reality is common in war-torn Yemen. When we discuss the state of Yemen, we are often reminded that the U.N. has labeled it as the worst humanitarian crisis on earth. We recall that 80 percent of all 30 million Yemenis are in need of humanitarian aid. However, we forget that displacement, poverty, and starvation in Yemen are directly caused by the political reality which also starves Yemenis of their rights.

Biden visits east Jerusalem without Israeli flag on limousine

US President Joe Biden’s motorcade no longer had Israeli flags on it during a visit to a Palestinian hospital in east Jerusalem on Friday, despite his assurances that the stop is not a statement about Israeli sovereignty in its capital city.

The Biden administration refused to allow Israeli officials to accompany him on the visit to the hospital, where he announced $100 million in aid to the medical network.

"Biden's visit to east Jerusalem without official Israeli accompaniment is a destructive move towards Israel, even if it was done with smiles and handshakes," commented Religious Zionist Party MK Orit Struck. "Biden knows very well that that would never be allowed in Washington by a foreign leader and understands how much that hurts Israel's national pride, doing it in Jerusalem."
