IDF reveals Hamas tunnel networks under Gazan civilian neighborhoods
Posted 15 hrs ago at 4: 07 AM
The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday exposed a number of Hamas tunnels under civilian sites in the Gaza Strip, including one in the Tafah area of Gaza City located next to a franchised Pepsi factory, and another running next to an UNRWA elementary school that acts as a shelter for some 2,500 people, according to the IDF.
The tunnels pass under “buildings that are essential for civilian life, in the knowledge that a strike on those targets will be provocative. If the tunnels collapse, hospitals, mosques, universities, or factories will collapse with them,” said the IDF.

UK regulator finds Muslim TV station guilty of ‘antisemitic hate speech’
Jul 27, 2022, 8:31 PM
British broadcast regulatory authority Ofcom ruled that Shia Muslim TV channel Ahlebait was guilty of “antisemitic hate speech” in response to Community Security Trust (CST) complaints it received.
Ofcom said the Shia Muslim station broadcast material that “amounted to antisemitic hate speech” and was “abusive and derogatory towards Jewish people,” the UK Jewish News reported.
The ruling came after Ofcom looked into complaints made by the CST over a live discussion show that aired in March 2021. During a discussion on “20th Hour” about money and power, one of the guests spoke about Jews, saying: ”Their antisemitism comes from their actions of impoverishing people and they then respond and then they call it antisemitism but we know that it’s because they do and they get punished and as Allah says, you know, he will expel... send them to all corners of the world to be an excoriation and a hissing and a booing to wherever he had sent them.... So antisemitism comes from debt, not cancelling the debt, and usury.”

From Praveen Netturu to hand chopping of Kerala professor: Read about PFI’s Taliban-esque Darul Khada, giving orders to kill Hindus
29 July, 2022
Despite India having a predominately Hindu population, hostility against the community has grown over time. The Islamists have attacked innumerable Hindus, their processions amid several Hindu festivals like Ram Navmi and Hanuman Jayanti. The encouragement these fanatics receive from Sharia courts, which have only empowered zealots and fostered religiosity, is one of the main causes of the growth in religious intolerance. The main objective of these Sharia courts is to create a parallel government, which will propagate Islamic law above the constitution.
One such regressive ‘Taliban-model’ Islamic court functioning in India, especially in the southern part of the country is the Darul Khada or Dar-ul-Khada, which means God’s abode or God’s court. According to reports, Darul Khada is an outfit comprising Muslim ‘scholars and advocates’, which was set up in 2009 by SDPI national chief and founder E Abubacker.
Many reports have suggested the link between Darul Khada and the radical Islamic organisation PFI, which has been strongly communalizing the social space in Kerala. Darul Khada is, in fact, one of the PFI units that, on the exterior, claims to be involved in the organization’s ‘social’ activities but has frequently been linked to planning the assassinations of Hindu leaders in the South.

The UK’s grooming gangs and the Pakistani vote
Giulio Meotti, Italy

Police dismissed the cases if complaints were filed against Asian families. An investigation found that more than a thousand children were sexually exploited in Telford amid the "shocking" shortcomings of the police and city council, the Times said. The suffering of children could have been avoided if the West Mercia police "had done their most basic work." The investigation found that sexual exploitation of children "flourished" in the Shropshire town due to fears that investigations into Asian men would "inflame racial tensions".
Tom Crowther QC, head of the investigation, said: “Countless children have been sexually assaulted and raped. They have been deliberately humiliated and degraded. They have been shared and trafficked. They were subjected to violence and their families threatened ”. Investigating them would have been "too politically incorrect". Crowther said the exploitation continued "out of control" despite everyone being "aware of it in detail".

UK Government conference on religious freedom triggers concern about apostasy hatred in UK
22 July 2022
The UK government hosted a human rights conference to urge increased global action on Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) for all on 5th July.
The conference brought together governments, parliamentarians, faith and belief representatives, and civil society.
National governments represented at the conference were invited to co-sign 1 or more of a set of written statements. The set includes an overarching statement on the conference itself and thematic statements covering freedom of religion or belief issues.
As with any Government conferences of this nature, the event inspired a number of fringe events and one that was of particular importance to British Asian Christian Association, was the ‘No Penalty for Apostasy & Blasphemy’ Conference at the Emmanuel Centre in London. The event had a good attendance and was live-streamed across the globe.

American Islamists Defend al-Qaida-Tied Asim Ghafoor
By
Susannah Johnston
July 25, 2022
U.S.-based Islamist organizations have expressed outrage over the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) arrest and imprisonment of Islamist Asim Ghafoor, a former spokesperson for three charities — that allegedly supported al-Qaida — and a former defense attorney for Osama bin Laden’s brother-in-law.
The Emiratis detained Ghafoor, a U.S. citizen, during a stopover in Dubai on July 14 and sentenced him to three years in prison and $800,000 in fines for money laundering and tax evasion. His attorney, Faisal Gill, claims Ghafoor knew nothing of the UAE’s charges against him prior to his sentencing.
American Islamist organizations with links to Qatar immediately expressed outrage over the UAE’s actions in an apparent effort to damage the country’s reputation in the eyes of Westerners. The UAE has taken a strong stance against the Muslim Brotherhood, making the criticism from at least some Islamists look like a Qatari-backed effort to smear its enemies.

New fatwa reignites hijab controversy in Egypt
July 28, 2022
CAIRO — A veiling fatwa recently issued by Egypt’s Al-Azhar, Sunni Islam's highest religious authority, has sparked outrage and criticism among Egyptians.
On July 8, Al-Azhar's Global Center for Electronic Fatwas published its “Eid Prohibitions,” a series of measures to observe during Eid al-Adha, on Facebook. One forbids women from leaving home without the hijab.
The statement was met with widespread criticism online. The following day, the institution changed the wording to forbid women from attending Eid prayers without the veil.
The change, however, did not put an end to the controversy.
The Arabic hashtag for “Down with Sheikh Al-Azhar,” demanding the ouster of Al-Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb, trended on Twitter.

Turkey accused of killing Kurdish female commander in Syria
By SETH J. FRANTZMAN
Published: JULY 28, 2022 18:55
A Kurdish commander in the Syrian Democratic Forces, the US-backed group that helped defeat ISIS, was murdered in a targeted assassination by a drone strike in Syria on July 22.
The attack by Turkey, using an armed drone, appears to be the latest attempt by Ankara to attack US-backed anti-ISIS forces. Turkey has also encouraged extremist groups to shell areas of Syria around Tel Tamr, driving civilians from their homes.
The same groups have targeted churches and have been accused of ethnic cleansing of Kurds and Yazidis, as well as the kidnapping and abuse of women. In addition, Turkish strikes allegedly killed four other members of a Kurdish security force south of Ayn Issa and killed nine tourists in northern Iraq in the last week.

By SARA SERFATY
28 July 2022, 9:25 am
A 6-year-old Israeli child was killed and six other people, including four family members, were wounded in a crash Wednesday on Route 60 near the West Bank city of Ariel.
The child, Matan Tsinman, was in his family’s car with his mother and three of his siblings when it underwent a head-on collision with a Palestinian vehicle with two occupants. The mother, who was driving, said the Palestinian car swerved into her lane.
Magen David Adom paramedics found Matan Tsinman unconscious at the site and took him in critical condition to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus in Jerusalem. Despite resuscitation efforts he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
He was set to enter first grade in the fall.

94 % are men: asylum applications in Austria tripled, most of them by Afghans
July 28 2022
Asylum applications in Austria have already tripled compared to the previous year – and the new wave of refugees, mostly Afghan, Syrian and Tunisian men, does not seem to be abating. If the arrival figures remain this high, Austria will reach a similar level this year as in 2015 and 2016.
In the first half of the year, 31,050 persons applied for asylum in Austria. Almost all applicants are men. The Ukrainian war refugees, the majority of whom are female, were not included in the statistics of the Ministry of the Interior.
