Without Remorse by Tom Clancy

Any one who has read (or has) Tom Clancy's books, I suggest you read "Without Remorse" (published 1993) a lot that has happened internationally is talked about in the book. It deals with a ex Navy SEAL who uncovers a covert plot that threatens to engulf the United States and Russia in an all-out war. You can kind of ignore the love interest of John Kelly, (name changed to John Clark at the end) in some ways it's important for background material.

The late Tom Clancy was not a prophet but, a lot of the material in his book is very close to what is going on with Russia .
