Koine Greek Suffix, -ma. Baptis-ma

Result Of Action: The result or effect of an action is expressed by the primary suffix, -ma.
(nom. -ma, neut.): gram-ma, thing written (graphO, I write), noE-ma, thought (noeO, I think), poiE-ma, poem (poieO, I make).

Baptis-ma, is [neuter gender.singular number.nominative case].

The "result of action" that God wanted in the flood was to save eight souls. Therefore, Peter writes, "saved [through[dia] water." Then Peter goes on to write, "Which antitype, baptisma, now saves us."

Baptis-ma is the "result of action" that I, [A. Repented, B. Believed, C. Been Baptized in the Name of my Lord, Christ Jesus, D. Received the gift of the Holy Spirit]. I am now a new creation in the Lord Jesus Christ.

PoiE-ma is the "result of action." Eph 2:10 For we are his [work-manship[poiE-ma], created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Workmanship mean, "A ship floats on water, a man works while on the ship". Work man ship. Boy, I got "water and works." That's better than water baptism.

"-manship, a combination of -man and -ship, used as an independent suffix with the meaning “skill in a particular activity, esp. of a competitive nature”: brinkmanship; grantsmanship; one-upmanship; sometimes compounded with a plural noun by analogy with craftsmanship, marksmanship, sportsmanship, etc."

Poetship, Poet-ship, n. The state or personality of a poet.

Do you like my definition of "workmanship"? This is YES or NO.

Reminds me of, "We are His WORKMANSHIP 'Created' in Christ Jesus unto good works that we should walk in them."
