In the 2nd chapter of Song of Soloman, the voice of the turtle is mentioned.  Since I have never heard a turtle's voice, why was that used?  any ideas?  And why "voice?"

Dunno - modern translations have turtle-dove or dove, which makes a bit more sense.

On the other hand, this is Song of Songs - use your imagination  Wink

No, no - ebia;
It's a "flock" of doves.  Isn't the question about a "herd" of turtles?

Oh - wait - never mind.   Embarrassed

Maybe the turtle that was heard was screaming at the naked guy running from the garden in Mark 14:51-52?  Or maybe it (the turtle) was telling us what Jesus wrote on the ground in John 8:1-9?

OK - I guess I'm not being very constructive here...

Well - I did a word study (which I should have done first before writing) and it is a type of dove.   So we can imagine the coo of a dove.   Does sound sort of spring-time along with the intent of the verse.
