Hi, y'all

By way of introduction, I  am a missionary (Nigeria and India), I live in Alaska, married, 3 kids. I love God, love to talk about Him, His ways, His works, His love and grace. Gotta warn you, though, I can get a little snarky sometimes without meaning to. Just let me know if you see that. I'm working on it.

I'm 49, been walking with Jesus for 25 years. When I'm in the States I do some building and remodeling. I also fish and hunt... a lot!

I'm more than a bit disturbed by what I am seeing in much of the Church here in the States, and I'm looking forward to hearing some of your opinions and solutions.

I'm kind of new to this type of forum. What I'm really looking for is open, frank and honest conversations that are productive and edifying.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys.

I see that you've already been here!  Welcome again!

How long have you been a missionary?  I live in Seattle, Wa and love to camp and fish myself.  The season for camping is short here but I try to get out on the weekends as many times as I can during the summer.

We like to have great and frank conversations here so you're in the right place.  You'll meet the other moderators soon enough and actually they are on here a lot more than I am since they are retired and I'm still working.  I try to check in at least once a day though, usually in the early mornings.

We look forward to your posts and getting to know you!

In Christ,
Hisdaughter

Hello Thirdwaver,

WELCOME!

I hope you enjoy Christians Unite, and I look forward to having fellowship with you. I'm one of the residence grandpas. I liked your introduction and look forward to hearing more about your ministry. In the meantime, have fun and look around. By the way, I'm also disturbed in what I see in many churches, but I give thanks there are still good Bible teaching churches. They might not be large or popular, and you might have to look for them, but they still exist.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Tom, I think you and I are going to hit it off. I'm bump-drafting 50, but no grandkids yet. I agree, there are many good, solid churches and thank God for them. There are also pockets of real revival and it is my hope that the Father will use that leaven to leaven the whole lump.

I just hit 60 this year myself. We are blessed with 6 grandchildren and another one soon to join us in about a month or less.

Amen! I think that is all of our hope as well as our prayer.

Congrats! My oldest is getting married next year. Hope to enter the ranks of the grampas soon.

Agreed! Why not a third "Great Awakening"?

I really don't know what might be happening. That shouldn't happen unless you put your cursor within the quote and start typing. Maybe you thought you could divide the quote - reply to part of the quote, and then go back to the quote - and reply again. That is possible, but you have to use the insert quote function. I hope this helps.
