The Coliseum--It's Coming, Folks

Just on ABC Radio news a few minutes ago, an American Airlines pilot on intercom en route asked for passengers who were Christians to identify themselves.
Then, he asked for those sitting next to them to tell the Christians about what they believed.

Ha-ha! That is EXACTLY what I was thinking Reba!
How many soles may have been saved???

This reminds me of when President Bush told a Muslim leader that "we worship the same god."
Pluralism is alive and well on planet earth.

There's more if you check out the headline over at DrudgeReport.com. Somehow my link doesnt get it.
Looks like Reba and JN had the right take...

An American Airlines pilot flying passengers from Los Angeles to New York asked Christians on board to identify themselves and then suggested that non-Christian passengers discuss the faith with them, the airline confirmed Saturday.
The pilot, whose identity was not released, had been making flight announcements before he asked that the Christians on board raise their hands, said American Airlines spokesman Tim Wagner.
Wagner said the pilot told airline officials he then suggested the other passengers use the flight time to talk to the Christians about their faith.
The pilot later told passengers he himself would be available at the end of the flight to talk about his first announcement.
Wagner said the airline was investigating the incident.
"It falls along the lines of a personal level of sharing that may not be appropriate for one of our employees to do while on the job," he said.
The pilot had just returned to work from a weeklong mission trip to Costa Rica, Wagner said.

That would DEFINITLY work to rekindle a flickering flame into a roaring fire for Jesus!
(I hope the airline doesn’t fire him or anything!)

Symphony,
I get the drift now. Your first statement was unclear.
In regards to the pilot, may the Lord bless him for his boldness!
The Colisieum time is approaching quickly though!

Yes, Psalm 119. Thank you. I got the impression too, at first, that they were closing in for the kill on the Christians. Turns out it was the opposite--an opportunity! as Reba and JN said!!
Thanks, JN, and Reba, for the article.
Most interesting, tho. Really a great idea. I can just imagine what that pilot was thinking.
I did it once one on one--cafeteria, college campus, sat down with tray, opposite a guy, no one else at the table. "So, what do you think of Jesus Christ?" I asked.
He picked up his tray and left.

That speaks VOLUMES, Symph – volumes!
When I went in the hospital last August for my second stay – I was wheeled into my room after surgery and “unloaded” onto my bed. The orderlies left, closely followed by the nurse (after a stiff injection of morphine - WHOA mama that’s a whole ‘nother story) and the guy in the other bed asked straight out “Are you a Christian?” Ha-ha!!! Needless to say – we got along fabulously!
(The next day he tried witnessing to a nurse – which didn’t turn out quite as well.)

I worked for a airline for many years, I knew a lot of crew members who were Christians, I would go onbord and have some fellowship, one captain that I knew, would pass out tracts to the un-saved crew members.
I would put over 100 tracts on every overnight A/C which would total 26 A/C (almost 3,000 tracts) five days per week.
The Lord used me to lead over 50 co-workers to Him. Someday I may write a book about my airline days.

That's interesting, Crusader. Maybe you could start a separate thread...
Or under personal testimonies...?

That's GREAT news, Crusader. Maybe you could tell us more about it, somewhere, here.
Just heard today on news, the pilot has been grounded.
