More and more women are cutting their hair very short in a mannish style. Can Christian ladies do this and be in accordance with God?

I've seen very short hair on women but rarely have I ever seen a "man's" short haircut on a lady. Throughout history there have been times when men wore long hair. Wasn't it the Nazarite who took a vow NOT to cut their hair? I think as long as a woman, or man for that matter, acts dignified, God doesn't really care, (by dignified, I mean men acting like men and women acting like women). How easy it is for us to judge. I find myself doing this every once in awhile and repent of judging as soon as I realize what I'm doing. It really isn't what we see from the outside. I know it sounds cliche. People are people. We all have different tastes. I may not like it. You may not like it. God just might at times too, who knows, but I hardly think He would condemn them for their emerald green hair. Wouldn't ya really like to time-travel back to the time when Christ was on earth? I think it would be great to know how they all felt about hairstyles, clothing, etc. I mean, first hand, to actually be there, just not read about it. Christ saved all who wanted saved. Reminds me of what Paul said, all things are lawful but if what you do causes a brother to sin then don't do it. Yep, I think we need to use some discernment in such situations. OK, so I'm a Rambling Rose tonight--------I'll stop.

I've seen very short hair on women but rarely have I ever seen a "man's" short haircut on a lady. Ditto. The stlye now seems to be between the top of the neck to the middle of the neck. At least, that is what most of my female friends go for. For a girl, that is short, but that would be considered long on a male. SO, what is the standerd? I think the basic idea bibically is for us to generally look persentable. No GI Janes for women, no small of the back leingh for guys, etc, etc. Keep is clean, and relatively neat. I think the bible was just trying to keep us from looking like white trash. We should be set apart because we are holy, not because we look a smell like Hippies and no one will be around us

Doesn't bother me.
So long as you are respectable for your culture, time and place, I don't see the problem.

Maybe I can ask this: why do women choose the length of hair they have?

Because one might be easier to manage then the other, or because they like the way they look with a style, or because they know their boyfriend (or males in general) like her hair like that, because their friends are all doing it, because she wasn't to try something new, maybe they cut it liek that so they can do something special with it, the list goes on and on.

Whitehorse:
I know I keep my hair short because otherwise I look like King Charles. (and that is not a good thing) plus the longer it gets, the more likely it is I will wake up with "hurting hair" (anyone else get that, or is it just me?). Hair that stands up or is bizarrely flattened, and that nothing will make look normal, and that hurts if you try to press it or brush it into a normal position.
I am sure the term "bad hair day" was intended for someone with hair like mine. Drives me mad.

Primarily fashion, or style? Then, efficiency, or what is practical--longer in the winter. Women and hair are wonderful stuff. Just like Paul says--her "glory"? WHEN they do it right.
