My Testimony… as of 29/08/2009.
My name is Luke Adam Goss and I was born on the 27th of May in the year 1982, I’ve got two older sisters, one is Sally and the other one is Kylie, I’ve also got a mother named Vicki and a dad called Garth, and a Step dad named Alex, I’ve got a Nanna and three aunties and five uncles, and 3 nephews and 3 nieces.
I’ve been to Bible college at Burleigh Baptist College and the subjects I did there were all by Audit:
1) Ministry with non-Church youth;
2) Ministry formation;
3) Principles of homiletics;
4) Content & setting of the Gospel tradition;
5) Different faiths—Aboriginal & Muslim;
6) Pastoral Care.
I currently work at McDonalds in Croydon, at which I started there ten years ago on the 14th of July in the year 1998.
I currently live in my very own full two-bedroom housing trust corner house, which God gave me as a Christmas present one week before Christmas in the year 2003.
Currently I am attending Bible College at the Paradise College of Ministries for the certificate four in Christian Ministries and my Diploma.
Also from time to time I have people who are Christians boarding at my place from time to time.
My Church home is still very undecided currently, I am in the progress of meditating upon God’s Word and seeking Him in prayer about where He would want me to be, I’ll tell you more about this a bit later on down this letter.
I’ll now tell you about the beginning of my life and the wonderful miracle that God performed in my Life at a very young age…
At the start of my physical life when I was only a new born baby, my lungs were filled with heaps of fluid, so I was placed in an oxygen crib, I was pretty much dead when I came out of my mother’s womb, and my respiration was way too slow, and I was there in that oxygen crib for seven hours, and my family especially my mother and father could not see me within those first seven hours of my life, and after the seven hours were up, my family could then see me but with a whole bunch of safety gear on themselves like a white gown and a face mask and gloves so they wouldn’t pass any germs on over to me.
I did loose a lot of oxygen and I lost a lot of fluid to this very day.
And the specialist told my parents that I was one below of being completely retarded for the rest of my entire life, so if I did loose any more oxygen & fluid I would have been completely retarded for the rest of my entire life.
So I am a living & breathing miracle to this very day.
Because of this, the doctors said that I will always be very slow intellectually and I will always stuff things up, and all through my childhood as I was growing up I was slow at a lot of things. It is only by God’s grace & mercy did I ever make it through.
I don’t know how old I was when I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, according to me, I’ve been a Christian my whole entire life, I’ve always been brought up within the Paradise Community AOG Church.
When I was 16 or 17yrs old I started going to Broadview Baptist Church with my mum, and I got involved there every now and then with my guitar and also joined their youth group which I absolutely loved. I was always bike riding to and from Church and all over Adelaide all through my teenage years. My mum use to take my guitar with her in the car and I use to ride my bike to Broadview Baptist, and then after Church in the afternoon I would ride my bike around Adelaide for about 3-4hrs along the Torrens Island,--back in those days I was a lot fitter.
When I was 17yrs old I went to Oakden Baptist Church youth group every Friday and Saturday nights and we as a bunch of on fire young people would praise God and sing songs together and we would also play table tennis together, and I also had the privilege to go on a camping trip to the Grampians in Victoria for one a whole week which changed my life totally and I have never been the same since, my mum dropped me off to go camping and my dad picked me up when the youth group arrived back, which means a lot to me because I was raised my entire life without a father figure in my life, my dad was always too busy working in the country up in Glendambo which is near Woomera in a Road House service station which he lived for most of his life without his own family.
My dad and mum have been separated/devoice since I was only 2-3yrs of age and this separation between them both have affected both me and my older sisters in a big way which that alone has influenced my life at a very young age.
When I was 18yrs old I moved out of mum’s and Alex my step dad’s place into my own flat further away, so I started going to Woodville North Baptist Church which just recently got arsine and burnt down.
While I was at that Church I became a deacon and the treasurer, and also the youth leader, I even got my guitar involved in the worship services.
I became a guitar instructor to two teenage boys from Vietnam, teaching them the basics of guitar playing and the theory but after a while the two teenage boys became disinterested with everything.
I was there at Woodville North Baptist for 4yrs and the whole entire time it was going nowhere and the congregation had all disappeared to other Churches, when I was there only about 10 people were in the congregation that came regularly to Worship God, while I was there I started a Bible study group in my old flat on Monday nights and also along with Pastor Tin, we started to start a youth drop-in centre to help get them off the streets into the Church, but they were really struggling to get anybody in either at the drop-in centre and in the Church itself. So I donated my pool table to that Church before God led me to Seaton Baptist Church when I was 21yr old.
A part from that I tried to get involved with the youth group at Woodville Uniting Church on Friday and Saturday nights as well.
And, then in my 21st year I started going to Seaton Baptist Church, and I’ve been going there ever since, until now being 27yrs old.
I was baptized at Paradise Church when I was 13yrs old, and I wanted to rededicate my life back to the Lord to start my adult life, one week before I turned 21yrs I was baptized at Seaton Baptist Church, and one week later I became a member and made that Church my home Church.
One year later I became a deacon and a youth leader, and I started a ministry called, “The Friends 4 Life Outreach” or “F4LO”.
It was a very successful ministry under the senior Pastor Milton Paull, who is now retired, but I will always look up to him, for he is a very good mentor towards me.
But after 7yrs of this ministry, since Pastor Milton is now retired, there is now a new pastor at that Church, Pastor Alois Schneider who through his leadership and lack of help, lack of support, lack of everything, the Friends 4 Life Outreach came to a close.
I’ve always been involved in the Bible and I’ve always had questions about certain topics.
While I was at Seaton Baptist Church I became a member and I am still a member in that lovely Church and also I became a deacon and youth leader and led prayer meetings every Tuesday nights and Bible studies every Friday nights and went out with the youth on excursions on most Saturday’s and had the Friends 4 Life centre open as a Drop-In centre every Sunday afternoon.
The Friends 4 Life group got into the Global Day of Prayer, which there is 10 days of full on prayer leading up to the Global day which is held in May, and it’s been going on for at least 5yrs to unite Christians to pray for themselves and the world.
All these groups I was able to lead but when the new pastor took over the leadership of Seaton Baptist Church about 2yrs ago everything changed drastically, and all these exciting ministry groups are no longer in operation due to the lack of support from the new Pastor Alois.
Just about three years ago I started investigating other beliefs and other doctrines, and while Pastor Milton was at Seaton Baptist, I was kept on the right path through his excellent leadership and pastoral skills and he and I were awesome best mates, but when the new Pastor Alois came aboard, everything changed for the worst, and I was given no support at all for the continuing running of the Friends 4 Life Outreach, and no support in my daily everyday life from the new pastor Alois. So……
I investigated The Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement being the main particular set of beliefs that I studied.

I then moved on to The Seventh Day Adventist Church, in which I thought I knew they only teach from the Bible alone and I nearly did become a member at either one of those different Churches---The Reformed sda and the mainstream sda Churches.
I left my ministry of F4LO and I left Seaton Baptist Church in April in the year 2008, because of the lack of support I was not getting from the new pastor Alois for my own life and the life of The Friends 4 Life Outreach, and so I thought I found the real Biblical truth that I was searching for and I decided to make Queenstown SDA Church my home Church because I thought they only taught the Bible and the Bible alone and not this Ellen White garbage, and so I stayed with the sda’s because I’d prefer their fellowship and support towards myself and also they are so friendly.
But………
My eyes have been opened.
It has been a long 3-4 year struggle of working out of what I believe.
I am no longer mixed up with the sda’s---the seventh-day Adventist Church, I am so glad and happy that God pulled me out of the false teaching Church, even though I do love the people who are still inside that Church, I made some good friendships with quite a few sda people, but since I left that Church 6 months ago no-one there has bothered with me.
I have now been freed from the sda’s now for the last 6 months, I’ve had no sda influence in my life, I am now FREE IN JESUS CHRIST. HALLELUJAH, PRAISE GOD.

I am currently going to my original Church that I was raised in, Paradise Community Church every Friday night for what they like to call: “Friday Night Church”, and this is an awesome time of praise and worship and also fellowship with other believers, and on Sunday’s I am trying out other Churches that I can call home. Please keep this in your prayers.

I am now a permanent full-time 40hrs worker at McDonalds for 11yrs since 14/07/1998, and I’m attending Paradise College of Ministry (PCOM) part-time to get my certificate 4 in Christian Ministry in which I have already done 2 sets of 6 months at this Bible College at “PCOM” at Paradise Community Church.

So I am a living and active miracle.

God kept me all these years, and He never let His hand off me, and He can do the same for you to.

I broke free of being retarded when I was younger, and I am meant to be very slow and retarded right now, but I am NOT, because God save me through my Faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Savior.

I am free, and I am NO LONGER RETARDED BECAUSE OF WHAT GOD HAS DONE IN ME, IN MY LIFE.
He has made me a new creature in Himself, and made me whole, and made me free, especially free from sickness and free from spiritual warfare, and free from not knowing the real Biblical truth for myself and especially I am now FREE from the influence of the sda’s, God has kept me safe all through these precious years. To God be the glory.

I am so glad that God enabled me to be able to study His Holy Scriptures and to find the real Truth about Himself.

When you find the Truth and when you know the Truth and when you apply the Truth, the Truth will set you Free.

God wants you to break free right now as well, will you please ask Him, and He will listen to you.
If God can break free me from the things that tried to stop me then God will free you of all those things that try to stop you.
Please ask Him to help, because He will.
Amen, Thankyou Lord Jesus, Thankyou, Amen!!!

Please keep me in your prayers; I feel this battle of spiritual warfare isn’t over for me yet.
But remember the Christian life isn’t meant to be an easy life instead it is meant to be a tough life, Jesus is here to help us through any problem.

Thankyou for your prayers.

Hello Luke,

Thanks for sharing your beautiful testimony with us. Jesus Christ is definitely our "all in all", and He is our life for Eternity.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 19:1-14 KJV  The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.  2  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.  3  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.  4  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,  5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.  6  His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.  7  The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.  8  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.  9  The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.  10  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  11  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.  12  Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.  13  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.  14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
