He is risen! - He is risen indeed.

I found it tonight, in a dim little corner I never looked in before. It hadn't left me, though I thought I'd misplaced it. I had been too long silent, too dry and fruitless; my eyes had grown dim with wandering.
I was looking for It; I knew the Words, I saw the Light, I held the knowledge that puffeth up. But I was still looking; for ages I searched, retracing a path grown over with weeds, pushing aside brambles and cobwebs of time. I was looking, I was looking! Beyond new tunes and the modern era! Past old hymns that dripped martyr's blood! I waded streams of legend and forgotten truths; past the legalism, the re'em, the unicorns of India, the dragonkillers on armored horses. I tasted the air of struggling history and coughed on the blowing sands of deserts. I passed the ashes of saints and witches and marveled at caves scrawled over with stories. I peered at the great ship in high mountain snow. I learned old names and forgot them; I searched for old myths and found them wanting. I wondered at invisible things and trembled. I sat and wept in the Cave of Treasures and knew it to be only a tomb. I looked across barren lands at distant precious things I could not have. Then I stood in the dimness of nightfall, troubled and sad, drawn to something I couldn't fathom.
"What am I looking for?" I yelled at the silence; it broke, and then fell back around me. I was dust; I was sister to the earth that gritted in my eyelids and filled my ears. "What I've grown up with, I don't understand! What I see I don't comprehend! What's wrong with me? What have I lost, or did I never know it?"
"But you've had it all along, Child. Since before Time began."
"What is it, then? What demands that I find and taste?"
"Creator God! Life-giver! Lord of the Sabbath, Lover of your immortal soul!"
And then I wept; I watered my withered heart with tears that soothed and nourished and beckoned a sprout. From chains my tongue was loosed, and I sang with a joy long forgotten, and remembered the hidden road to prayer. On the horizon a new dawn broke free.

My, My, my.  Is it 'co-incidence' or does everyone here has a knack for writing? Cheesy

Throughly enjoyed that.  It reminded me of a time (since becoming a Christian) when I had so many questions but no answers.  Knowing that something was missing from my life but not sure what until one day He revealed to me that I needed to really open my heart to Him.  I will never forget that experience, such joy, love, comfort happiness.
And then I wept; I watered my withered heart with tears that soothed and nourished and beckoned a sprout. From chains my tongue was loosed, and I sang with a joy long forgotten, and remembered the hidden road to prayer

Thank you Jesus for using WillowBirch to remind me of that day.

Leaving for now, I feel the praises coming on
