Living With It: Thriving Despite Anything

by Staff
August 20, 2009

MEDIA ADVISORY, (christiansunite.com) -- What if one moment you thought you were the picture of health and in the next instant, your life was changed forever? It doesn't even have to be your health. It can be unemployment, relationships, or financial issues. Torrents are a part of living. For the past 14 years, Kris Kuester--an ordained pastor and gifted worship leader--has lived with an incurable, neurodegenerative illness called syringomyelia. To put it plainly, ever-growing cysts in his spinal chord are eroding his physical strength and his ability to walk.

Because of the power and the grace of God, Kris has found a way to thrive despite his illness. He explains: "You don't have to have a spinal cord disorder like me to be living with something of great consequence that is affecting your daily life in a very personal way. What is your 'it'? It could be anything. Well, the good news is that God has given us the tools we need to Live With It."

A former All-American athlete and accomplished Country Music artist in his 20s, he is now committed to helping others through a new ministry called Living With It: www.livingwithit.net.

Combining sound biblical teaching with good old- fashioned discipline, Kris outlines a God-given principle designed to help others cope with their own "it." With words and music, Kris shares time- tested ways to not only survive, but flourish. He has founded the non-profit organization Living With It Ministries, Inc., to further his dedicated mission. Kris says, "Forming a non-profit in a recession - some people might call us insane; but God is bigger than all of it."

Kris further defines this inspired and authentic principle by illustrating three life disciplines: Foundation, Faith, and Focus. Kris states: "We all face difficulties or deficiencies. But, recapturing true joy in one's life can be achieved by the application of a simple formula: F3 x G = J, or Foundation, Faith, and Focus times Grace equals Joy. The application of this formula takes action. Actions are the responsibility of each of us."

In anticipation of the publication and national release of his correlating book, Kris is actively speaking and leading worship for congregations, organizations, and conferences nationwide.
