Planned Parenthood targeting easily influenced teens
Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 6/2/2009 6:20:00 AM

The International Planned Parenthood Federation is conducting a petition drive targeting youth.

The organization is pressuring countries worldwide to provide access to sexual and reproductive health services. Samantha Singson is with Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute, or C-FAM.

"Here you have International Planned Parenthood with their agenda pushing this stuff, targeting youth and calling on the U.N. community -- the international community --to recognize these rights for young people, regardless of age," she explains.

Singson says that means full access to birth control and abortion -- as well as educational programs to program youth to accept homosexuality on the same level as heterosexuality.

"Comprehensive sexual education is part of it; sexual rights also. The term 'sexual rights' is loaded," Singson adds. "There are a lot of connotations, and there's no real clear definition. So when they're using the term, they're using the broadest definition of it, which does include all of the things pertaining to sexual orientation."

The goal is to gain acceptance worldwide, even if it means pressuring countries where it is illegal to do so, Singson says.
